Hotel stay was okay, private pool was dirty. Service was poor, in particular for dining. 1 of 2 tables at that time. Ordered appetizer, never came. 2 out of 3 dinners came after 50 minutes. My dinner never came until I asked server (Gustavo). He finally came back with it, 30 minutes after others were finished and it was cold. That was first time he was available to ask about food or for drinks. Then he brought appetizer at end of meal. Then brought wrong drink order and argued with me about it. Never brought wine menu he promised. After paying (someone else handled because Gustavo could not be bothered), we went to sleep. At 1000p, we hear loud knocking at our door repeatedly. It was Gustavo, I needed to sign something else. He also said he would take care of my meal and never did. Horrible service.

Fuimos un grupo de familiares y el servicio en el restaurante no fue eficiente, muy a menudo confundían las órdenes con las habitaciones de otros huéspedes. Varios mesetos eran nuevos. Les daría otra opirtunidad ya wue el hotel está muy cómodo y agradable. Pero en esta ocasión me quedaron a deber en servicio al cliente. La comida es muy buena.

Muy bueno pero...
Fue muy buena mi primer experiencia en este hotel, las habitaciones muy cómodas , grandes y limpias , nos encantó a mi esposa y a mi .. el persona muy amable , y el desayuno increíble.. lo que pienso que puede mejorar es que permitan el acceso de tu bebida a la alberca , ya que es obligatorio consumir bebidas y comida en el hotel de lo contrario no puedes estar en las áreas de la.alberca, considero que si pagas tu habitación tienes derecho de poder tomarte la bebida que tú quieras sin que sea obligatorio comprarla ahí .

El personal de recepción es muy amable, el registro fue muy rápido. Las instalaciones están aceptables, pero falta mayor limpieza en las habitaciones, en las noches olía a cañería en el baño y los cristales del balcón estaban sucios. Los precios del restaurante muy accesibles, aunque algo tardado en cocina, buena relación precio-calidad.

We had a great time! The service, the location, the room, the pool, everything was awesome. The beach is steps away from the hotel and the only thing I would change is the chairs by the beach. No reclining chairs. Other than that, great hotel. We are planning to go back next year already! Did not disappoint at all

We booked for two rooms for three nights and pre-paid . The day before arrival we are told that only one room is available as the receptionist gave away the 2nd room for the night of our arrival. So I had to go and stay at another Hotel . The location and service are great it is much quieter than these large all inclusive hotels and to be recommended.

El hotelito está bien. No me gustó la ubicación, pero tiene muy buena playa y buenas instalaciones. Sólo tiene 6 habitaciones (como un hotel boutique) y la comida es casera excelente! Lo que no me gustó fue que por haber hecho la reservación a través de Expedia, no me la querían respetar. Me llamaron el día de mi check-in por la mañana para decirme que no nos podían recibir!!! Cuando los confronté para preguntarles por qué me dijeron que porque habían "sobrevendido" el cupo del hotel. Como que lo maneja una agencia que vende tiempo compartido y fueron ellos quienes no querían respetar lo pactado. Al final me respetaron mi reserva (que ya estaba pagada) y disfrutamos de tres días de excelente servicio, comida y lindas instalaciones.

The staff were excellent. Friendly and always helpful. The wait staff were incredible. There were lifeguards on duty and in particular, Arthur was amazing. The drawback we felt was that smoking was allowed in the dining area and around the pool.

The hotel's restaurant food quality is good, although the menu is limited. This is significant because there are only a few alternative restaurants within walking distance, and those were closed at 7 pm when we checked. In general, there are very few restaurants, shops within or other places of interest within walking distance - a couple of restaurants and a small bazaar with stalls selling t-shirts and other typical tourist trinkets. One big plus is the local bus with 5 - 10 minute service. The No. 1 bus runs along the main road all the way to downtown - "El Centro". Anything you could think of is somewhere along this route, and all for 9 pesos.

Hotel pequeño a orilla de playa
Es un hotel pequeño con 6 habitaciones, a orilla de la playa. Las instalaciones en general están bien. No debería considerarse hotel Boutique, aunque es pequeño no da para nada la sensación de privacidad, ni hacia la carretera que esta muy cerca y poco aislada ni hacia la playa. La alberca es pequeña pero agradable. Justo para la ocupación que puedan tener, no deberían permitir el uso de la alberca a personas que no se estén hospedando por un costo. El servicio de desayuno lo aprovechan para llevar mucha gente a la que se le esta intentando vender tiempos compartidos, es verdaderamente molesto que se llene de gente y que se les de preferencia sobre los huéspedes. Creo que el personal podría mejorar en su actitud, particularmente el servicio de mesera de la noche. La variedad de bebidas es muuuy limitado, solo un par de opciones decentes. Al menos la cerveza es de botella y no de maquina lo cual se agradece. La comida es a la carta y en general es buena. El desayuno no es bueno. La playa es bonita, la temperatura del mar es muy agradable, algo de oleaje. Las áreas de camastros pueden llegar a ser insuficientes, el área para sentarse en la playa es cómoda pero no deberían permitir que las mesas sean usadas por los vendedores.

Very nice room with jetted tub, ocean view
Very nice room with jetted tub, ocean view and luxurious bedding (eight comfy pillows!), as well as seaside dining area with three meals offered. I only took advantage of breakfast, which was delicious. It is easy to avoid the time-share people occupying the lobby. The front desk staff was delightful, making very personal efforts to accommodate me.

Small, boutique hotel on the best beach
I made this reservation with hesitation. Over the past 35 years, my husband and I have stayed at at least a dozen properties in Manzanillo, beginning with Las Hadas, in the early 80's. Among the hotels we've stayed in have been a few dives, but for the most part we've loved them all--Coral Pacífico, Barceló, Dolphin Cove Inn, to name just a few. We even stayed across the street from Mar Celeste when it was Club Maeva. So, you get the idea---we are experienced vacationers in Manzanillo. We arrived at Mar Celeste and were amazed to see how close it was to the main shopping area. After walking through the open arch way, we were greeted by Karina, the concierge. Check in was muy rápido, (very fast) and Victor took us up one flight of stairs to our room. My first impression was that it was wider than I had expected--and fully equipped--great toiletries, pod coffee maker, make-up mirror, safe, and my favorite--a lightweight robe! Oh, yes, the shades on the sliding doors are controlled by remote. The balcony, though small, is right on the sea! I was curious about what would be include in the all inclusive rate---in a nutshell, everything. The liquors and even the wines were top of the line. The menu is a la carte and the choices are abundant---lots of Mexican dishes and shrimp. I loved the Tortilla Soup--so much so that the chief gave me some to take home (though American, we live in Mexico.) All the staff, Laura, Richard, Victor, Sabina, the beach attendant, etc, were great

Great long term option - fantastic staff!
Really fantastic location and the rooms were very nice. Hotel has a good restaurant and the location was superb. Would definitely recommend. Stayed for 10 days April 2017

A hotel that feels like home
We thoroughly enjoyed our one week stay at Mar Celeste hotel. The staff was exceptionally helpful and treated us like family. The rooms were updated and comfortable, the on-site restaurant was terrific, and the beach was steps from our door. We had a great, relaxing vacation at this small comfortable hotel.
