Finally got around to writing this review!
My friends and I stayed at Sandos in Cancun from November 4th to 8th, and I just had to share our experience.
I’ve been to Cancun many times — I truly love this place. But this was my first time staying at this particular hotel.
To be honest, at first, I was ready to write a very negative review because the hotel turned out to be a bit different from what I expected.
It’s definitely not new anymore and has quite a few flaws.
But everything completely changed when the manager, Stefano Rayo, paid attention to our complaints…
He turned out to be some kind of magician!
Initially, we received a free room upgrade since I have Platinum membership with Expedia, but there was no hot water in the shower — we had to take cold showers even though we reported it several times. The issue wasn’t resolved… until Stefano found out about our problem.
He gave us another, even better room with hot water! And his attitude toward us was simply outstanding — very respectful, polite, and professional. We truly felt like queens! 👑
We’re so grateful to him for doing everything possible to make our stay comfortable.
Thanks to Stefano, our opinion about the hotel completely changed!
We’d also like to mention Esdras, our waiter — he was always kind, friendly, and polite. Thank you!
Overall, most of the hotel staff were nice and courteous, with just a few exceptions.
In the end, our vacation turned out to be wonderful and full of fun!
