Verbesserungswürdig: Sauberkeit, Personal & Service und Zustand der Unterkunft
The grounds of the hotel are beautiful, but there are 2 big problems: First, they must have neglected maintance for years. Some examples just from my bathroom: shower head broken, door hinges hanging, shower door not closing, towel rack hanging, bathroom countertop broken, and 5 more things. The other rooms in my suite weren't any better. Also, and that will become important during my stay, the door locking mechanism was hard to turn. So on my last day, the door locking mechanism broke when I tried to open the door. I was locked inside. Didn't like to jump from my second floor balcony, so I called and asked for someone to open the connecting door to the next suite. 15 minutes later, I called again. The new person knew nothing about it, so told the him the whole story again. 15 minutes after that, I called again. Same thing. Long story short, it took them 45 minutes to send someone to let me out of my room. My room was 2 minutes from the reception. Which brings us neatly to the second problem: Service, in particular communication. Asked for restaurant reservations and tennis lessons by email before I arrived, but only received an answer two days after I've arrived. Trying to call the reception on 4 different occasions, only one time someone picked up. Housekeeping hasn't made the room till 5 pm (I was out of the room all day), asked at reception and left, asked again at 7pm, and then had to ask a 3rd time. This could be a nice hotel, but it's badly managed and under-invested.
