„Impressive building with lovely grounds; however unfortunately our room did not live up to the same standard with wine bottles & beer cans left at the door on entry, along with the odour from the previous guests takeaway. Thankfully the staff were able to accommodate a different room for our stay, but it is worth noting the rooms both shared a rather tired appearance and we left a little deflated bearing in mind the room rate.“

There was not much natural light entering the room and noise can be heard from the adjoining room The building could do with some refurbishment The views and gardens are beautiful The staff were really excellent and nothing was too much trouble The food was equally good with some fabulous combinations and flavours and, they have an interesting wine list, if slightly on the pricey side. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Thank you“

„Wir waren mit dem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis hier nicht zufrieden. Das Haus liegt an einer Landstraße mit lautem Verkehr bis in die Nacht. Unser Zimmer und das Bad waren sehr klein und lagen direkt über dem Eingang zum Hotel und Restaurant, somit hatten wir Lärm von den anderen Gästen und vom Parkplatz bis spät abends. Insgesamt war das Haus recht hellhörig. Die Ausstattung des Zimmers mag Geschmackssache sein, aber es gab keinen Kühlschrank, der Safe funktionierte nicht und das mobile Klimagerät ...

„Booked for parents to celebrate fathers 80th. Accomadated a last minute change to more accessible room and late afternoon food. They both really enjoyed stay and could not say enough about quality of staffing and overall experience!“

„We were visiting for a gig at Piece Hall and are so glad we chose to stay at this absolutely wonderful hotel on the outskirts of Halifax. From the moment we arrived the staff were warm, polite and helpful and this continued for the duration of our stay. As it was such a nice day, we sat in the beautiful garden and enjoyed drinks and food from the bar menu before heading into town for our concert. . Breakfast (extra) was also very good indeed.
