„Bring an air horn and/or bear spray. We were visited by a black bear all three days of our trip. We weren't prepared for that. The first night it got in our vehicle five minutes after arriving and found an unopened jar of mayonnaise. The next night it was waiting for us in the dark by the steps (the lattice around the deck was busted out--probably by the bear, and that was where it was hiding. I almost had a heart attack.
