We stayed at Sarah and Patrick's property in July 2018. There are three B & B Bedrooms and one self catering apartment. The B & B bedroom we stayed in was huge and the bathroom had a large sized shower with plenty of hot water on tap. The bedroom has a TV with English channels so we were able to catch up with the Wimbledon tennis during our stay 😊. Breakfast is a continental breakfast with tea and/or coffee and sets you up for the day. The property has large grounds and there is a decent sized swimming pool (the water is heated) and sun loungers, which are shared with a couple of gites that Sarah and Patrick also own. Bikes are available to use and there is table tennis and a small crazy golf course available.
We found our stay at the property very relaxing; it is very quiet in the area and there is only the very occasional car passing to disturb the silence. Sarah and Patrick are hospitable hosts and made us very welcome. We shared some delightful evenings with the other guests and Sarah And Patrick and a few bottles of wine and beer! There is also little light pollution in the area, so plenty of stars to gaze at as well.
In terms of food, we mostly ate out during our travels but if you want to eat at the property, then there is a fridge available in which you can store produce which can be purchased at a local supermarket in Pugnac, which is around ten minutes by car. A bigger supermarket is around 15 minutes away in Blaye.
Eating out involves driving to either Bourg or Blaye, which we did on separate occasions. There is a more local restaurant which we didn't get round to visiting although for all practical purposes, a car is needed to get to these places.
We would recommend Vine house B & B as a great place to stay for a relaxing holiday and it's also in a good location to explore the wine regions to the north and east of Bordeaux.
