For seafood and happy hour specials just down the street, swing by Blackbeards’, a neighborhood mainstay since 1978. After dinner, head across the street to pick up an ice cream at Dolce Roma. Or stop by WannaWanna (10-minute walk) for pub fare, live music and frozen cocktails on a beachfront deck.

Adventurers can check out South Padre Island Watersports (5-minute drive), where you can rent bikes, kayaks, paddle boards, and more. And Schlitterbahn Waterpark is just a 10-minute drive away. For quick grocery pick up, you’re just a mile from Blue Marlin Supermarket.

The location of this property is absolutely fantastic. Better than most places that we have stayed. Response time from management was really good check in was super simple. If you are looking for something that has been updated with current fixtures, appliances etc. I would not recommend this particular location, but it was more than fine for us. We weren’t looking for something like that. The only real issue that we had was that it did appear that there were some bug issues in the condo. However, upon reporting it to management, they came in immediately to help assist and we didn’t seem to notice any problems after work. The pool area was nice and never was packed. Even over a five day stay. I can’t say enough about how much we liked the location and proximity to the beach. There were a few items in the condo for use such as pull out chairs and an umbrella. There weren’t any baking sheets so if you’re planning on doing pizza or french fries, you might want to bring one. All in all it was a great experience I would say 8 1/2 out of 10.

The door combination was incorrect when we arrived. We called and got the door rekeyed and allowed us access. Once inside there were a lot of little roaches. There was a sign on the property saying an exterminator would be on site on February 11th, so obviously this problem was already reported. The fan in the bathroom didn’t work.

Roach infestation

At check-in lock codes would not work took 20 minutes to get in. Once in the room was infested with roaches. Contacted management and it took two days for them to spray, stated they would get back to us, we had to press for updates. Even after spray the roaches were everywhere so they treated again and they were coming out even more. Afraid we would end up bringing them home we checked out two days early. We were given a credit of 58 dollars. Worst vacation ever.

Condo very clean. Beautiful straight on view of ocean from LR and balcony. Need to bring everything trash bags, coffee filters, seasonings, etc. code sent by email to check in didn’t work, had to have another one relayed by phone call only, no email/text sent to verify change. Glad I had pen/paper handy. Construction noise during week, even around pool area. I think they are almost done though, would double check before I booked. Overall, good stay.

Not so good!

When we arrived we noticed there wasn’t a lamp on the wife’s side of the bed. Also, the recliner in the living room would recline but could not be returned to an upright position. We called Vacasa but nothing happened!! The cupboard door in the kitchen couldn’t be closed so we had to leave it opened. Then after the first week, they started Jack- hammering out the balcony floor next to our room and the noise and dust were never ending! We couldn’t be in our unit from nine in the morning until five in the afternoon because of all the noise. This went on for over a week and they were still working on it when we checked out this morning!! We half of our money back because of this!! Our daughter is going to pursue this for us.

Great location, comfy accommodations!

We loved our stay at this condo! First off, you couldn't beat the location! We were right on the beach, and so close to many restaurants. Second, this condo is very well appointed, had everything we needed. Plus the furniture was all so comfy. And the balcony is amazing! We had a great time and would definitely go back here!

Holiday gone wrong

We arrived late on the 23rd, reported that we found 2 bugs (roaches) in the cabinet next to the refrigerator with the miss matched handle that was broken. Repair person showed up to reattach handle, did not address bugs. Roaches found on counter, floor and wall in kitchen, reported again via text message and called Vacasa (Joe) to report. Nothing happened. Christmas morning our 2 year old grandchild was on the floor opening a gift and a roach crawled across the floor-disgusting! Purchased our own bait traps and spray. Between the lack of repairs (loose door knobs, missing dishes and cooking equipment, pantry doors that didn't open completely because of too much paint, old appliances, dated bathrooms, etc. and the roaches-it was terrible. We finally were able to get some help from Vacasa rep, Doran (not rep for our condo, but was on the property) and the property manager. They had exterminator come into the condo to spray and were told that we should not be staying there. Vacasa relocated us for the remainder of our trip thru January 6th. This unit was a huge disappointment! It doesn't match the photos or description online. We received zero contact from the actual unit rental agent. Be careful if you choose this unit!

Amazing views! But so disappointed in how gross the furniture is … the mattress was discussed with stains The microwave and frig full of rust and also the bathroom knobs not to mention the laundry is $2.75 Shame on the owner for not replacing any of the furniture…. I paid over $2000.00

Great location

Great location. Beautiful views of the ocean from your personal patio. Wonderful combination of beach access and pool on site. Very quiet complex. Furniture is dated. Would return to this apartment!
