Remote Beauty in Gorgeous Valley
This is a unique property located 5km down a rough dirt track in a valley close to the Supramonte mountain range. The property is a stunning, large old farmhouse, with a swimming pool and spectacular views. You have plenty of indoor & outdoor space, your own vineyard and no neighbours except the local shepherd who moves around 50 sheep every morning / evening. The beauty & isolation comes with one downside: no internet or mobile phone reception. So you will be off grid. The closest town for food or petrol is Orgosolo, a 20 minute drive from the property. The East coast of Sardinia has stunning beaches and there is the Gorrupo canyon to hike through. But the windy mountain roads mean 1.5 hour drives to the coast from the property. But you are rewarded with dream views, whether a turquoise cove against the mountains or a long sandy beaches by Orosei. Note: the owner is a charming man, but if you rent via VRBO you will be pushed over to a Danish property site and all contact will be via that site. After paying you will then be informed that there are additional fees, for example paying for electricity, bed linens & cleaning which will easily add another 300 euros to your bill. So, we felt the pricing is not very transparent and we didn’t like that we were pushed outside the VRBO system after payment. So beware. As while the owner is Sardinian, the renter is Danish.
