Ich war schon das zweite mal im Rochester. Da ich kein Fan von Hotelburgen mit 1000 Zimmer bin, wählte ich wieder ein Hotel im Britischen Stil. Die Zimmer sind zweckmäßig. Wir hatten ein Zimmer im Dachgeschoss (5.Stock) der Lift geht nur bis in den 4. Stock. Im Zimmer gibt es eine Klimaanlage, da diese anscheinend nicht funktioniert stand eine Mobile Anlage im Zimmer.

Tolle Lage, nette MitarbeiterInnen. Etwas älter, das merkr man Mobiliar und Einrichtung an. Aber es ist alles ok. Nachts sehr ruhig, im ersten Stock nervt allerdings eine Klapptür ab 8 Uhr. Aber da ist man ja eh schon auf...:-)

Very nice Hotel, super nice staff. The beds were so comfy. The location was close to perfect! About 8-10 minutes walk to Victoria Station! All in all, I would recommend this hotel to anyone! So, every time it takes me back to London, I would go to this hotel! Nice job! Cute elevator by the way!

Defekter Fahrstuhl, defektes Klo und Hotel im massiven Renovierungs- und Instandhaltungsstau! Mir ist unbegreiflich, wie es zu einer so positiven Bewertung des Hauses kommt. In unserem Zimmer war das WC defekt, die Dusche tropfte die ganze Nacht, der Fahrstuhl war ausgefallen, die Minibar abgeschlossen, Gäste versuchten offenbar mit einer falschen Karte Nachts um drei Uhr ins Zimmer zu kommen. Das Personal nahm dies freundlich aber gleichzeitig achselzuckend zur Kenntnis. Kommentar: Ja, ja, das mit dem Klo haben wir jede Woche. Außerdem seien eben oft Betrunkene im Haus. Das sei alles sehr schrecklich. Eine Entschädigung bot man uns allerdings nicht an. Der schön britisch plüschige Charme kann jedenfalls nicht ein Zimmer mit verstopfter Toilette ausgleichen. Das Haus ist leicht erkennbar schlecht geführt. Nie wieder.

Wir waren zu zweit für 2 Übernachtungen in diesem Hotel. Das Personal war sehr hervorkommend und freundlich. Die Zimmer waren geräumig und sauber. Die Lage war ideal und alles wichtige (Supermarkt, U-Bahn, Bus, Restaurants) war fußläufig erreichbar. Die Zimmer waren etwas altmodisch, aber gepflegt.

Hübsches Hotel in ruhiger Lage.
Nur 6 Gehminuten von Victoria-Station entfernt, sehr zentral und trotzdem ruhige Umgebung. Super-nettes und hilfsbereites Personal. Zimmer klein, aber ausreichend. Sehr sauber und nett ausgestattet. Lediglich das Bad ist ein wenig dürftig. Duschen in der Badewanne war eine etwas rutschige Angelegenheit und durch den fest eingebauten Duschkopf mußte man sich ziemlich verbiegen, wenn man nicht auch gleich die Haare mit waschen wollte. Statt der üblichen Minibar ein hübsches Schränkchen mit Wasser, Tee, Zucker und Milch - hat mir gefallen. Das Hotel hat u.a. eine Weinstube, in der man Kleinigkeiten zu zivilen Preisen essen kann. Guter Wein, keine überzogenen Preise, gute Adresse für Nicht-Biertrinker.

Das Hotel liegt fussläufig zur Victoria Station umgeben von vielen Restaurants. Das Zimmer war abgesehen vom Bad gemütlich und sauber. Im Bad waren am Duschkopf leider schon richtig grüne Ansätze, was bei einem Hotel der Klasse nicht passieren sollte.Dazu lief das Wasser im Becken sehr sehr langsam ab. Für wenige Übernachtungen ok.

4 Tage Städtereise London, super Wetter, gutes öffentliches Verkehrsnetz. Wir sind lieber Doppeldeckerbus gefahren, weil die Aussicht genial war und die Tageskarte für Busse lediglich 5 Pfund pro Person kostet. Gutes abwechslungsreichs Essen, da London sehr international ist. Mit dem Bus Nr. 2, kann mann bis kurz vor das Hotel fahren. Von der Viktoria Station ist es zu Fuß nur ca. 15 Minuten.

Sehr schönes kleines Hotel in wunderbarer Lage
Dieses kleine saubere Hotel liegt sehr zentral in Westminster. Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten sind einfach zu Fuß zu erreichen. Für weitere Touren gibt es eine sehr gute Verkehrsanbindung. Um die Ecke findet man schöne Pubs. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und gepflegt und das Personal ist sehr freundlich uns hilfsbereit.

It was a nice property overall but the room was very small for a family of 4...understand its an older hotel. No control over the thermostat as it did get quite warm in the room...I did try using it on the wall, however, nothing was happening. Very friendly staff and yes, we would stay there again.

If you need internet for work while at this hotel , forget about it. It is painfully slow. Google mail won’t open unless you refresh 5-10 times. Condition of the hotel - dated. Lots of marble, that probably was looking nice in the 70s. No A/C , so prepare to sleep with the windows open. If you do sleep with your windows open, the building near has big A/C units so you will hear that noise the entire night. Stains on the carpet, musty smell. I don’t know why this property is advertised as 4 stars. Should be 1 or 2.

First time staying at this hotel, located in a quiet area of Westminster but plenty of shops/cafes around the area (although when we were staying a lot were closed), Big Ben, Westminster Abbey are a 10 minute walk away. The hotel itself is a bit old fashioned but very clean and has all the amenities you would want, a great base! Some work was going on during our stay so we were woken up to drilling noises some days and the water wasn’t working for half the day on one of the days either which wasn’t the most ideal. Our room had a lovely balcony which overlooked a football pitch which was nice to relax on after a long day! Will happily return here.

Buena relación calidad precio.
Es la segunda vez que me hospedo en este hotel. Está muy bien ubicado, Perfecto para ir a Victoria. Andando se llega a Buckingham palace, al Big ben... El desayuno es completo. El personal del hotel muy agradable.

Really not great at all!
We had no hot water, we had to take freezing cold showers. The iron was broken in my room and when I used it it leaked all over my shirt just before we went out. The kettle in our room was also broken, when I boiled it I had to sit with it and hold the button down. Nothing seemed to work and while it didn’t ruin my partners birthday it certainly put a dampener on what was supposed to be a happy relaxed experience. By the end of the trip we almost found it funny that nothing worked in the room as it should. I don’t like to complain but for the price of the room I expected much more than I got.

Comfortable, convenient and friendly
Staff is amazing. We needed extra pillows and within two minutes, there was a knock on our door to fill our request. The beds were very comfortable and the room was very clean. Location is within a short walk of many iconic places. This was a great find, and we plan on staying again on our next visit.

Impeccable service/high quality
Great stay. Surprise trip away for my girlfriend's 29th birthday. The hotel was great and organised a cake and fruit basket for us at an extra charge. Added the extra touch of balloons and a card (girlfriend said that was very sweet). Had an afternoon tea at The Wellington just around the corner, very nice!! The room was great size wise and even had our own little balcony. The bathroom has a bath/shower combo with great pressure and it was honestly nice to have a bath as we only have a shower at home. The food was of high quality and the staff on duty were always exceeding polite! Even provided us larger drinking glasses for water and an extension cable as there were limited plugs. They even provided complimentary little slippers which was a well appreciated touch! We opted not to have the room serviced as there wasn't really a need, you don’t replace towels/bed linen after every use at home so no need while away, easy to clean up after yourselves. Only downsides were not enough plugs, small teacups, no coat rack for outside jackets, lack of communication with The Wellington regarding having prepaid for afternoon tea and silverfish in the bathroom (reported to reception on departure - not before as it isn't necessarily preventable/their fault, only really reported so they knew and could take action if needed)

This is a very good hotel. It is located in a very safe area and is very close to Victoria station (15 min walk). The hotel bed is very comfortable and hygiene and the room overall were very good. This hotel is very good especially given the relatively low price (in january). I really recommend this hotel!
