We chose this property for the proximity to the city, the beach access, and the amenities provided (pool and playground). Our stay was average. The condo itself needs some repairs and it was not very clean upon arrival. My biggest complaints would be that drinking water was not provided in the rate (not individual bottles but at least a 5 gallon jug for the pump should be included. The manager did send a bottle on our second morning), only 1 shower had hot water (the shower closest to the hot water pump) so we could only use 1 bathroom, the oven is falling apart, and the cleanliness of the apartment was sub par (the counter tops were covered in a sticky substance and we only found the dish rag that is provided on the last day when we opened the washing machine - it was never washed). A safety concern would be the smoke detector in the kitchen was disassembled rendering it useless.
The resort itself wasn’t bad. Pools were big and clean, beach and as clean and there was a ton of seating provided. It was also very well lit up at night. Dominicans love their loud music though so the nights were VERY noisy. I contemplated packing everyone up a night early Just bc the music kept us all awake (even with white noise machines in my kids rooms). We ordered dinner from Coco’s (on-site restaurant) one night and the food was TERRIBLE
Overall it was an ok stay. We may return (not to this particular condo) just bc it makes a quick trip to the city, but it won’t be on our go to list.
