Welcome to Moonlight Modern, where modern luxury meets coastal charm for the ultimate San Diego beach getaway! This amazing, custom beach home comes with a private hot tub, deck, waterfalls, and garage and is right across the street from the main entrance to Moonlight Beach (no steps required!),. It is located in one of California's most iconic beach towns, Encinitas in Northern San Diego (rated the best vacation destination in California by Forbes Magazine).

You'll be just two blocks away from all the excitement of the 101 and the main street offers. Enjoy amazing ocean and beach views from multiple rooms in the house, including the first-floor family room which opens to a resort-like yard. Here, you'll find a state-of-the-art spa, two waterfalls, and a custom fountain.

The main level has a bright and open great room with beach and ocean views, as well as a convenient patio with an outdoor Evo Grill. With two complete levels of comfort and convenience, this modern, custom home is waiting to provide your family and friends with beach-living memories of a lifetime!

Steps from the beach, you have a beach-facing, gated front and side yard with bright and spacious outdoor living areas featuring modern and thoughtful decor, gorgeous porcelain floors, and lots of contemporary furniture throughout.

The modern spa tub has the best view of all the beach action, with three levels of waterfalls adding privacy. There is seating around a large, modern fire pit and a full wall opening up to the family room on the first floor.

Head up the stairs onto the wooden deck to find a looped, wicker lounge chair, another waterfall fountain, and wonderful beach views amid a garden of palms and succulents. This resort-like yard also includes an outdoor shower, a 12-foot umbrella, a four-person dining table, a shack, and fantastic beach views.

The first-floor family room features a large sectional couch surrounding a mounted 80-inch flatscreen TV. You'll also find a well-equipped kitchenette, a number of musical instruments that include a keyboard and guitars, access to 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths, and the laundry room and garage.

Through the front door, the great room is bright and sunny, with a state-of-the-art chef's kitchen, a large dining room, and a guest bedroom/office with a Tonal Gym (membership needed).

The living room area has a large entertainment space featuring a washable Restoration Hardware Cloud sectional sofa, a fireplace, mounted flatscreen TV, and floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the beach that the pictures do not do justice to, as the view is exceptional given the home's height above the sandy beach, playground, volleyball courts, fire pits, cliff, and white water waves.

Serve a large family at the handsome wood dining table that seats up to 10, and then pull a special bottle from the wine fridge to enjoy on the deck with friends. When it's time to call it a night, you'll have five spacious bedrooms and four-and-a-half baths for everyone in the group to take advantage of. The primary bedroom off the great room includes an ensuite bath and access to the deck. There is also a Murphy bed available in the second-floor multi-purpose room — a great space for fitness, yoga, or to indulge in a soothing massage (a table is provided).

Work from a private home office on the upper floor with a large monitor, printer and a desk that configures for a sitting or a standing desk!

The house is across a cul-de-sac from this popular, renovated beach area, and feels like you're living in a scene from a movie. The playground, volleyball courts, beach bonfires, snack bar, beachside yoga classes and rental area are just a few yards away.

Most beach houses in San Diego are on a very high bluff or, if in Pacific Beach, in front of a busy walkway. Ours has easy access to the beach on a sidewalk. It's also just two blocks from the main shopping street and Encinitas train station. It's truly an ideal spot for a vacation and close to the highway for a short drive to the Del Mar Racetrack, LegoLand, San Diego Zoos, Sea World, and downtown.

Neighboring beaches and surf spots such as Swami’s and Beacons are just a short walk away along the beachfront.

This is a great house for families of all ages! Little kids will love the park, while older kids will love the volleyball and beach access. Everyone will have a great time at the bonfires. Older adults have easy access.

Everyone can gather on the beautiful patio and enjoy the view of all the activities on the beach and surfers in the ocean waves. It is so close you can see and call in your kids on the beach from the patio!

There are also tons of activities at the beach: yoga, drum circles, tennis courts, restaurants, surf rentals, concerts, street festivals, surf lessons, and day camps. A car is not needed. You can walk 2 blocks to the main street shopping and hip restaurants or take the train straight to downtown San Diego or LA. Don't worry about driving home! This home truly has everything you need for a memorable vacation.

- This home allows up to 2 pets for a fee; undisclosed pets brought without AvantStay’s approval may result in a $500 fine per pet.

- The massage chair is not available for guest use.
- The tonal machine in the upstairs bedroom is not available for guest use.
- Bookings must be made at least 24 hours before check-in. Same-day bookings are not permitted.
- Absolutely no exterior amplified music is allowed. Violations will result in a $500 fine.
- While we do our best to notify guests in advance, unannounced power outages may occur due to unexpected city maintenance.
- No events are allowed unless pre-approved and coordinated through Avantstay. This includes but is not limited to: rehearsal dinners, wedding receptions, birthday parties, and social gatherings.
- All guests must comply with local laws regarding outdoor lighting, quiet hours, and limitations on parties or gatherings.

Accidental Damage Protection: A non-refundable accidental damage protection plan has been included in the price of your reservation. Under this plan, you will not be held responsible to pay for accidental damage or loss to the rental property resulting from you or others in your party up to $2000. This plan does not cover intentional acts of a guest, gross negligence, or willful and wanton conduct, and/or damages caused by pets. This plan is not available for reservations 30 days or longer or reservations that require a security deposit.

This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.

As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (10pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.

Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.

There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.
