Disappointed

We arrived a hour early then expected especially driving from out of town. The first night I noticed some issues with the beach house. Cobs Webs around doorways and on the ceiling skylight. Restroom bathtub drain was clogged. Leftovers trash inside kitchen and outside next to bbq pit. Wi-Fi wasn’t working. They gave us the wrong information on the WiFi.On our 2nd night we had issues getting inside . In instructions we were told to lock both locks when leaving the property. Our family went to beach all day and came back to beach house to find issues getting back inside. Call the property manager and was informed to try to get inside by opening up a window. Unfortunately they didn’t have a key to the bottom lock. This was a very inconvenient situation especially having to climb inside a window to get inside the beach house. My family sat outside in the back yard while I attempted to climb inside the front window. While sitting down on one on the chair my wife fell down due to the chair in poor condition. Lucky the kids were able to help her up and witness the whole situation.The maintenance man showed up an hour later but by then our family was already inside. I did informed him about all the issues that we had since arriving. Overall very disappointing on our stay. I felt they could of did a better job especially on the communication.

Overall the house was the same as listed. When we oulled up there was trash piled up near the door so much so it didnt even fit in the trash cans. As we went through the property we noticed the yard was not cleaned up. Beer bottles were left on the patio and the upstairs patio, beer bottles left in the fence, fishing line tied to many things or strewn across the yard, as well as trash around the yard. Inside for the most part was clean. Floors were not cleaned. And my oldest brought up if the sheets/ blankets had been cleaned. No laundry soap to clean the with. Found dead roaches in dishes in the cabinets.Luckily we brough dish soap, we washed any dish we used by hand prior to use each day. We wanted to grill but were unable to use the grill on the property, it looked like it had never been cleaned before. Positive side of our stay, close to where we wanted to be, close to grocery store, the management company had someone out to pick up the mess left by previous renters after calling them but we had asked to be notified prior to them coming which went ignored. For the price we paid it was not worth that for sure. If it was a last minute and couldnt find anything else it would do for short stay. Would not stay for more than the 3 days we were there.

Family Fishing Trip

Nice place. Couple of issues. Took several tries to get the front door unlocked, but eventually got it opened. Someone put fish down the garbage disposal/sink drain. You could smell fish when you walked in. Light switch for the deck was hard to locate. Patio furniture old from sitting in the sun. Family sat down and chair crumpled. Small issues, but overall good location.

Girls weekend was a success with the selection of Seahorse Cottage House was clean, airy, accommodating for the needs of our group. Amenities for kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms were great. Waterfront at backyard was a plus. Highly recommend.

READ THE REVIEWS

Before you book this property, I highly recommend you read all the reviews! They are surprisingly accurate! I am referring to the amount of roaches in the home. Not necessarily a big deal as we were able to just sweep them up and throw them away but considering nearly every review speaks about roaches, I am super shocked that something hasn’t been done to address this issue. The only other complaint I had was having to play Russian Roulette with the TV remotes. The remotes were not located near the TVs to which they corresponded and only one remote had batteries that worked. I didn’t particularly enjoy having to go purchase batteries so that we could use the televisions. I have stayed at other Vacasa managed properties and have never had an issue. This is surprising for them and I hope they get the issues rectified because the property is beautiful. And the private fishing dock is amazing! Most likely, I would stay here again just for the fishing dock. Beds were comfortable, plenty of dishes, towels, and I appreciated the lamps with charging stations for the phones.

Nice place but...

was an overall nice place but many lights were burned out or not working. Porch, closet, Kitchen mainly which is dark without the overhead light. No way to change bulbs.Customer service was excellent as they responded via text immediately with a few initial small issues. Never sent someone out to check on kitchen light though..
