We are a family of 4 (2 adults & 2 kids) and stayed at the villa for a week during Easter. The drive from the motorway up the hill to Competa takes approx 20 which is a bit daunting the first time with a cliff edge on one side but the views are beautiful. The villa has its own gate and as we pulled into the driveway, we were impressed by the size of the plot and the landscaping that surrounded it. The driveway is massive and has space for numerous cars. You could tell immediately that the property is well looked after. On entering the villa, we were amazed by the layout, size of the rooms and the level of detail that has gone into each room. We found out at the end of the trip that Sergio is an interior decorator and an excellent one by the standards of this property. The kitchen is well laid out and has every utensil you could potentially wish for in a holiday let and more. As part of the welcome, you receive a basket of fresh fruit and a bottle of wine. The living/dining area is spacious and the fireplace is great for those chilly evenings. The property has wifi and the TV has Netflix. The 3 bedrooms are all a good size and have a good amount of closet space. Both bathrooms are well designed and the water pressure in the shower is excellent. What struck us throughout the villa was the attention to detail through the pictures, ornaments and furniture which gives it a very personal experience. The outside area at the back of the villa has a pool which is sizeable and cleaned regularly. Unfortunately, it's not heated and the water was cold when we visited so the kids did not use it as much as they would have liked to but I'm sure during the summer months it heats up naturally. Around the pool, there are a number of loungers and a sofa to relax and absorb the stunning natural beauty of the surrounding hills and the sea in the distance. There is another unit towards the back of the pool which contains an outside kitchen where you are able to cook if you decide to host outside with a large dining table.
The villa is a 5 min drive away from the town of Competa which has grocery stores and restaurants. Getting to other places from the villa is straightforward once you are down from the hills.

We were sad to leave the villa when the time arrived to depart for home but that is always the case when you have had a great holiday.
