This classic 3 BDRM cabin was built in 1940 and retains that early 20th century charm, while being fully modern, renovated, and ready to please. The cabin is located on a treed yard, ever-green and smelling of pine and spruce even in winter. Park in the private driveway and walk up to the home past the inviting picnic table and outdoor dining area, perfect for a meal, a cup of coffee, or an evening under the clear, Colorado skies.
You’ll enter through the front door using the private code provided to you before check-in, and into a warm, welcoming space. The cabin feels larger than it is, with the central living room dominated by a classic wood-burning fireplace. This main room is cozy and comfortable, bright and inviting, the perfect place to rest and relax and entertain. The kitchen might beckon the foodies in your group, just off the main living space, fully outfitted and ready for your culinary creations. It’s not just all practicality here though, and details like the granite counters, the modern lighting & décor will please and pamper. Just off the kitchen is a bonus room with dining for four, and an arcade game! There’s also a comfortable couch perfect for that morning cup of coffee while watching the wildlife in the yard.
There’s a single bedroom on this lower level with a comfortable double-bed. The cabin’s single bathroom is also on this level, clean, inviting and ready for business. Upstairs are the two additional bedrooms, one with another double-bed, and the other with two twins. The beds are comfortable and well-appointed, the linens hotel-quality, the environs warm and inviting. This home is professionally cleaned and managed for your comfort, and a five-star attention to detail that you’ll be sure to appreciate.
Back outside, there’s plenty of space to step out and breathe the clean, crisp, mountain air. Swing in the bench-swing, or head out for a walk in the neighborhood, or just down the street to the Winery at Pikes Peak for an exceptional glass, or a memorable mountain meal. This home is also dog-friendly (max 2 dogs, with an additional fee). This home stands out, truly, as one of the best stays for short-term travelers and guests to the Pikes Peak Region. You will have access to everything in the home! 4WD or AWD STRONGLY recommend in the winter, recommended in the summer! The Red picnic table is not ours, please only use the BLUE picnic table! Enjoy!
Cascade, Colorado is just 15 minutes west of Downtown Colorado Springs, and 5-minutes west of Manitou Springs, up a mountain pass, and located at the base of Pikes Peak, “America’s Mountain,” off the Pikes Peak Highway, the road that takes you to the top of this 14,115 ft tall natural wonder. The area combines authentic Colorado charm with exceptional access — both to natural amenities, and urban ones too. The city is close if you want it, but there’s also a sense of legitimate escape here too. The area has evolved over the years to cater to both mountain-loving locals and adventure-seeking guests. There are a plethora of exceptional hiking trails nearby. Pikes Peak itself presents a myriad of outdoor opportunities. And the food, drink, and entertainment here is pretty special.
The Winery at Pikes Peak is just a few doors down, known locally for having one of the best creek-side patios for summer dining. The North Pole & Santa’s Workshop is a Christmas-themed amusement park perfect for families with kids. Up the road in the little town of Green Mountain Falls are further dining opportunities — local favorites The Mucky Duck and The Blue Moose Tavern. With quirky, historic, Colorado-original Manitou Springs just down the pass, the shopping, gallery-walking, restaurant-dining, cafe-sitting, spa-soaking and overall vacation-enjoying possibilities are endless!
Although there are plenty of restaurants, bars and outdoor recreational opportunities close to this property, we recommend that you have a 4WD or AWD vehicle or use Uber or Lyft when traveling in the Pikes Peak Region.
Other Things to Note:
Last, it’s your vacation, so you probably don’t want a lot of RULES. So think of these more as our strong requests:
- No smoking inside. This includes Colorado’s newest cash crop. Forest Fires Are A Danger!
- We provide fresh sheets, towels, hand towels, wash cloths, and essentials like shampoo, soap, toilet paper etc.
Dogs are welcome for an additional fee ($50/dog/week) with restrictions: 2 dogs max
- No pets other than dogs allowed - we are sorry!
- Late check-outs (12pm) are available if there is no back-to-back booking, at $25 per hour.
- We cannot guarantee an early check-in, as we need time to make sure this property is perfect for you before your stay! Please check with us on the day of your arrival to see if the property will be ready early.
- Please use bear proof bins - bears are common in this area!
- Please use Fireplace CAREFULLY - Please provide your own firewood - do not pull from surrounding trees.
Non-Refundable Damage Deposit Waiver:
- Instead of charging a security deposit, Hoste charges a non-refundable $49 damage waiver fee that covers up to $2,500 for damage to real or personal property of the vacation rental property as a result of your acts or omissions. Please see house rules or the rental property agreement when you book for more information about how the damage waiver works. Because the damage waver fee is Non-Refundable; If a Guest changes properties for any reason they May be charged a new damage waver fee for the new property at the discretion of the property Manager.
Please be advised that all guests will be asked to sign a rental usage agreement that governs the terms of your stay. For the protection of all parties, the booking party will also be required to provide a copy of a valid government issued ID and matching credit card prior to check in.
