I made my reservation on VRBO nearly a year ago. Paid full price, which I didn’t like, but VRBO has a good cancellation policy. So as we near the time for me to depart from home I find no entry info from the owner. Calls are unresponsive. I called the condo. They didn’t know anything besides I couldn’t get in anyway because association dues were not paid. I had no choice but to initiate cancellation to get my money back. The owner said no money back then changed to only half because my reason wasn’t good enough. I contacted VRBO and they would look into it. I called VRBO every week and they we’re still looking into it. Finally they sent me a paper outlining the process. I called the credit card company and they refunded my money immediately. So I got out of that bad deal because of Visa not because of the owner or VRBO or cancellation policy. I used my returned money to secure a different place, not on VRBO. That vacation was wonderful. A big Thankyou goes out to VISA and place I was able to stay at.
