The only thing I didn't like is that I called the hotel several time to confirmed my reservation, but all I got is an answering machine and when press reservation or 0. It hanged up. Expedia has the same problem and they even e-mail and got no answer. Also, I was trying to make reservation for pick-up at the airport. Expedia was finally able to help me. I hope in the future, you be able to correct this situation. This why I gave 4****

Its a beautiful resort for your friends and family. The staff are super nice! I had a wonderful time there. All inclusive drinks, food, everything. Their entertainment activities are very huge. Recommended!!!

The staff and service were amazing! Jordan and Fernando were awesome at the pool/beach side bar. Marta was able to proved us with a warm smile and reservations to dining. Felipe and Angi were friendly and helpful in the main dining room for breakfast service and Arturo helped us many times while we’re stayed at the resort. It was a birthday/girls trip to remember! Thank you Cancun Bay Resort!

The food was so bad! I didn’t eat for days. Nothing frash. You are not able to swim in the see, it is so shallow and dirty from excursions boats. Staff is nice! It was cheap so I didn’t expect everything like in five star but this was beyond one star. No I don’t recommend to stay here!

This property was very small. The amenities were limited and you have to request an iron. The sq ft in the rooms were small The toilet kept running The performances were loud outside your room. The alcohol selection was very limited. The room view was parking lot. The hotel was very much more like a motel and a waste of money.

The staff was very polite and helpful. The room was perfect for our needs although we had a balcony and view of a parking lot with vans in it, which wasn't very scenic. The pools were clean and nice. The beach area was very small and the view was blocked by piers and sailboats.

Very convenient location, close to downtown Cancun. The beach is small but very clean, super fine sand. We had a 3 bedroom apartment which was great as there were 5 of us, more than enough room. Only down side was it seemed we backed on to the main staff loading dock and the constant carts going back and forth were so loud they woke us up numerous times. Our room was missing a TV, not an issue as there were 2 others. Any issues with the room had a maintenance staff visit within minutes and fixed shortly after. Staff were super friendly, they loved our little one. Laundry is offsite and was returned clean and looked like they were pressed or ironed. Food selection was great and everything tasted great. Some more kid friendly menu options like chicken nuggets would compliment the selection for those who have a less developed palette.

This was my second stay in 10 months. I was so happy to see to see some of the same employees as last time. The food is so good, as fresh as you can get and varied. I honestly will not stay somewhere else and I have stayed at some beautiful resorts in Cancun. Every single thing was perfection and am already planning to go back in two or three months. My husband loves it here and he is a tough customer to please!

Entertainment staff were great and kept my kids occupied during the days with beach volleyball, soccer and other games. Food was ok…buffet got boring with the same items all the time. Sushi was was the best part! It’s a very entry level resort. If you’re looking for a budget friendly resort, I would recommend coming here!

Great property for the price! Buffet food is often very cold. The food heaters do not keep food warm and need updating. Also coffee and napkins are not easily available. Pool food is great, sushi is great, the pool area is awesome. Reservations for special dinner nights are a joke. Food items for Saturday Italian night was the same as the buffet. Pizza oven broke and it took an hour to get alfredo. Very unorganized and I would get rid of special nights immediately. Spend money on the buffett and you have an awesome establishment. This has got to be the worst resort in the zone. The pools close at 6, the bar closes at 11. The pools are always so cold the only people using them are children. The food is almost inedible, it's not kept at safe temperatures on the buffet. There's maybe 4 total "hot" food options and the rest is soggy, brown salad or apples sitting in brown water. The fruit juice they serve is simply blended up left over fruit from the buffet, seeds and all. The rooms is tiny, can't pass by a single person without having to go all the way to the back or front. There's nothing to eat from 10am-12pm and again from 3-6 pm. The alcohol doesn't start until 11 am and is bottom shelf unless you fork over an additional $55 USD per day. You don't get to see the sunrise or sunset, it's blocked by either trees and the road or other buildings. You can hear the road all night, and people's screaming children due to the no insulation on the door; the front door that bugs and lizards will absolutely be crawling into. They try to sell you a timeshare by trapping you in a "90" minute presentation at their sister hotel across the entire hotel zone from the resort. They don't listen to complains and pretend they don't speak English, even if you had an entire conversation the day before. The wifi only works occasionally. This place is honestly horrible, please for your sanity read and believe all these 1 star reviews at this horrible resort

It’s just ok, food options can be much better. But if you’re just looking for a cheap trip it’s not bad. We only chose the place because they had a 3 bedroom suite it worked well for a family of 4. Make sure you see a time share presentation and you can get free activities. We chose the jungle boat tour.

You get for what you pay. The buffet is small but the food was surprisingly tasty. It's a little resort and perfect for a quick beach getaway. There were a lot of locals and the restaurants hours are very limited. However, the room is always clean. It's a good choice of resort for a short stay.

Cancun Bay Resort is a beautiful cozy resort for families and others. The rooms were clean. We had booked a premium ocean view room but were upgraded to a Junior Suite upon check-in; the only hitch was it was not exactly ocean view as we could partially see the ocean just from one corner of the window. Food at the buffet was repititive which bored us to an extent that we didnt want to go into that resturant on the 4th day of our stay. Bars dont have a menu and bartenders and servers speak very limited English that posed an issue for us while ordering drinks. They had a tea/coffee machine in the suite but no tea bags or milk/creamer. Safe Boxes are provided in the rooms that helps in keeping valuables. We used the spa services and it was really good! Great entertainment every evening to keep the guests engaged.

It was a smaller resort and we actually preferred that. No fighting for lounge chairs at the pool. We were upgraded to a suite which was quite nice, but our view was a parking lot with construction going on. Buffet and entertainment could have been better.

We booked this trip blindly and because it was a great deal! The staff were absolutely amazing, they went above and beyond to make sure you always had anything you needed or even walking past them they would say hola! Over view facing the ocean was breath taking. The food at the buffet was a 4/10 but the sushi place was amazing I recommend making a reservation there! The mattress was super uncomfortable too but overall this hotel is great and we would definitely stay here again!

Second was an ocean view with two queens- loved the balcony, but the room was a little more run down (door to balcony was very difficult to open). Food was very good. Nice bar. Each evening there was different entertainment which was nice Both pools were nice. Our only real complaint about this hotel was that the pools closed by 8, which was disappointing because we were usually out past that time and would have loved to relax and cool down in the pool. This hotel is in a quieter part of the strip, which is nice. We just hopped on a bus (12 pesos) to get to the other beaches or hotels. These busses go by constantly. This hotel is perfect for families. If you’re looking for a party atmosphere, this isn’t the place.

Property was in a good area. The staff hardly helped or several times said they had no cups so I couldn't get a drink. The food options were terrible. They had two options for lunch and dinner. The Buffett had the exact same thing every night with a different sauce. I got sick of food quick but only other option for dinner was room service for a fee or sushi restaurant for a few days a week with very small portions and reservation needed. Room service was good. Not a lot to do at resort , I have stayed at other all inclusive resorts and liked them a lot better. Definitely not worth the money I spent!!!!

All staff at every level were friendly and accommodating. They were great in every way. It’s a smaller resort so we didn’t expect much from food and activities. The food was great though and the limited activities were made even better by friendly and engaging staff. The only thing we weren’t happy about was the bar closing at 11pm.
