„Positive:
A lovely building with really nice decor in the bars and guest rooms. Our room was clean and well maintained, and housekeeping was good. The tea and coffee making facilities were also a nice touch.
Negative:
There was no air conditioning, which made the room quite uncomfortable. Some of the communal areas felt dated and a little shabby, especially compared with the much nicer bar areas.
The beds were very small and it could be quite noisy outside.
Breakfast was also disappointing, ...

„Beautiful property. We stayed in the Beach House which was child-friendly. Staff were great and so were the facilities. Only issue was the children’s pool was out of service but we were able to use the main pool at Saltmoore House. Breakfast was amazing too.“

„I expect more from a 4 star hotel. The room was lovely and spacious however confetti which was all over the grounds was also in our room. There are 3 lifts one is staff only, one is out of order which according to a frequent guest has been the case for 2 years!! Then they serviced the 3rd lift, leaving my 84 year old parents to negotiate very old wonky stairs, not ideal! We ate in the bar one night because i have my dog with me and the area seemed dated and unloved. The food was nice if served ...

„Compared to other hotels in Scarborough this one is a good choice. A friendly and professional welcome, a nice view, a large room. The downsides are the room is directly situated above the bar & garden which has customers drinking, laughing and yelling till midnight. Food is ok, but not great. The friendly receptionist is also a very good escalation manager and took the parking fee off the bill to make up for the noise.“

„This hotel is great and we couldn’t fault our stay until check out time..... we had already paid for the hotel prior to our stay yet we were asked to pay again for the room!
Apparently the hotel has recently changed hands and there is some issue with the accounts transferring over so the hotel isn’t currently receiving the payments people are paying ( going to the old company).
We politely explained that this was not our issue and we wouldn’t be paying for the room twice!!
