We were so excited for an all inclusive experience with SLS but this property fell short on so many levels. The food and beverage selection and execution was terrible. Several of our meals came out unseasoned, undercooked or overcooked and just inedible. Many things were not included in the “all inclusive” even though we had the top tier package. We paid extra for coconut water by the pool, sake with our Asian dinner and only one wine was available without an up charge at most restaurants. To top it off, the first night we were there, there was a “comedian” as entertainment for the guests. The “comedian” was a Trump impersonator that spewed hateful, racist, discriminatory “jokes” for over an hour. It was appalling that an SLS property would allow this. Regardless of beliefs, a hotel resort is not an appropriate venue for what seems like a comedic take on a politically rally. We were so unhappy with our experience we left early.
A couple of positives warranting 2 stars: The property itself is beautiful and well kept. The staff was very kind and hardworking.
Overall, this is absolutely not a 5 star resort and doesn’t even come close to comparing to the experience at other SLS properties. They need a few years to get it together and learn how to operate as an all inclusive. 0/10 would not recommend.
