„Nettes Personal, eine Gastwirtschaft in der die Zeit stehen blieb, leckeres Essen, eine sehr gemütliche Atmosphäre zum chillen. “

„The accommodation was in excellent condition for a house of this age, almost as good as the staff, we had a lot of fun and were exceptionally well entertained.“

„Das Hotel war gut, aber das Restaurant schrecklich!“

„Schönes Hotel im Zentrum Amblesides. Freundliches Personal, angenehmes Ambiente, nettes Zimmer, modernes Badezimmer. Kann ich sehr empfehlen!“

„Lovely traditional Lakes coach inn in great setting close to Bassenthwaite although no view of the lake itself. Service was a bit archaic but I’m putting this down to because it felt like everyone was new? The original historic snug bar is the best feature within but it is clear they are more focused on servicing the relatively new restaurant bar area. Free parking and WiFi. „Idyllic village pub with beautiful scenic views. Would highly recommend this place as there is plenty of walking trails on your doorstep. This place has a lovely traditional pub layout, fantastic food with plenty of choice, all staff super friendly and the rooms were on point. WiFi great throughout the property. „Exceptional stay! Beautiful breakfast, great location and very clean! Would highly recommend.“

„We used the Hare & hounds as a stopover on our way home but will give serious consideration to returning to explore the Lakes from there“

„Dejligt sted. Skøn natur omkring hotellet og rigtig god atmosfære. God mad og venlig betjening.“

„Great room, bed, air conditioning and general vibe. Would return happily“

„Lovely spacious place, very clean, nice staff, well priced, lovely room. My only gripe would be no curtain in the bathroom window, which looks into houses, but overall we liked it.“
