„We really enjoyed our stay in the Lake District, the property was conveniently located in town in Windermere close to the train station where you could take buses to other towns on the lake. We had amazing hikes and saw beautiful views in old English towns. The property was comfortable but the landing on the upper floor has multiple levels right outside the bedroom and bathroom doors which was concerning with children. “

„The house itself was loveley. Very clean and comfortable, and within a short walking distance of Windermere town centre. Ample parking for two cars. However, the house is located in a rather run down area of the town, next to a park where youths gathered in the evening. On two seperate evenings the house was pelted with eggs, and on one occasion an egg was thrown into the house through the open patio doors. "Every aspect was great. Just a small trouble with unloading luggage as there is not much space to park if the spot is already taken. Also, from the hotel welcome message it feels like they will help unload luggage but you do that on your own. They have good amenities but not so easy to find information about it, like access to private beach or availability in Spa. Overall, I enjoyed the stay a lot and loved the swimming area and steam/sauna experience."

"The historic building is fabulous, the atmosphere great, it's the pole position in Windermere, great view on the lake. I wonder if it is necessary that during the summer season the building is under construction. With scaffoldings in front of the windows, some parts of the building beside the entrance in bad condition, and even a corridor we had to pass everyday was stuffed with furniture, cardboard boxes ... This is not the atmosphere for holidays. Due to repairs on some wires, the internet connection broke down every night. The location is great, but there's some work to do to bring it back to its standard. "
