„This was a lovely property, ideally situated in between Lyme Regis and Charmouth. Could not fault the property at all. A very quiet peaceful location which we will visit again. The SW coast path lies just behind the property, but dont worry if you end up on a golf course, this is a part of the coast path.“

„Die Ferienwohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet und wir haben uns ausgesprochen wohl gefühlt. Die Wohnung ist sehr geräumig und sensationell ist der Blick aus dem riesigen Panorama-Fenster in der Küche. Sie liegt direkt an der Strandpromenade und ist bestens geeignet für Ausflüge an die Jurassic Coast. Zur Wohnung gehört auch eine eigene Garage, allerdings hat unser Auto nicht hinein gepasst. Wir hatten aber meistens Glück und haben einen Parkplatz im Hof gefunden. Ansonsten gibt es auch auf der ...

„Das einzig Positive: zum Strand sind es wenige Meter. Dieses Apartment ist unzumutbar schäbig und schmutzig. Als wir ankamen war die Wohnung voller Fliegen. Die Eigentümerin überreichte uns als erstes eine Sprühflasche mit Insektengift und verabschiedete sich dann zügig. Das angekündigte „große Schlafsofa“ war nicht vorhanden, die 2 alten, extrem heruntergekommenen Ledersofas waren notdürftig mit Fleece Spannbettlaken abgedeckt. „What a beautiful place to stay! The Lodge is cozy and very well equipped with sea views at the front and fields at the back. It's tranquill an at the same time near to town and beach. Geoff was a very welcomming and helpful host. We've enjoyed breakfast in the spacious outside area and the hot tub was a real bonus. We can truely recommend the Lodge!“

„we enjoyed one week at the seafront in Lyme: location and the atmosphere in the old house are fantastic. perfectly equipped for self-catering. good service by Mark Holmes. unfortunately, the house needs a little "new paint": it could be a little cleaner, - compared to our Swiss standard - (especially front and back-garden and cellars are not maintained), some stains on walls (of normal usage), some tiles are broken (in Shower)... lyme Regis and Jurassic coast are great. Fossil Walk is a Must!“

„Wir haben unseren einwöchigen Aufenthalt in zentraler Stadtlage mit 9 Personen sehr genossen. Im großzügigen Wohnbereich fanden sogar Freunde von uns noch gut Platz für die ein oder andere kleine Party. An Ausstattung fehlte höchstens eine gößere Kaffeekanne und Betten in den eher kleinen Schlafzimmern (davon 1 Einzelzimmer) gibt es nur für acht Personen. Allerdings lässt es sich auch auf einem breiten Schlafsofa im Wohnbereich mit 2 Personen ganz gut übernachten.“

Viel Charme, aber etwas in die Jahre gekommen
"Das Hotel liegt direkt an der Promenade und dadurch zentral. Das Parkieren gestaltete sich als sehr schwierig. Wir parkierten dann in einem Parkhaus und erhielten vom Hotel einen Discount dazu. Das eigentliche Fairhaven Hotel ist geschlossen, whs weil es renoviert wird. Das momentane Hotel liegt aber gleich daneben. Dies ist aber auch schon in die Jahre gekommen. Aber es hatte einen Fahrstuhl, was mit schweren Koffern sehr praktisch ist. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer hatte bequeme Einzelbetten mit bequemen Kissen. Das Bad war sehr herzig, recht gross und es funktionierte alles gut. Es hatte genügend Kaffee, Tee usw. im Zimmer. Im Hotel war es nachts sehr lärmig, da Wochenende."
