„Plumeria Cottage is absolutely recommendable. Tastefully furnished with everything we need to feel good on holiday. We especially liked the veranda and outside shower and the comfortable bed for a good night's sleep. The kitchen is fully equipped. Puako is also highly recommended as a base for participation in the Ironman 70.3, for great excursions and a quiet stay. Nachts hört man den Sound der Natur, zirpen der Grillen, Vogelgezwitscher u.ä. Der Vermieter ist hilfsbereit, hält sich ansonsten diskret zurück. Wir hatten einen angenehmen Aufenthalt.“

„This is a great place to stay to get away from it all! Close enough to Hilo to get back into the all of you want. We also wound up driving north around the island to the west side a bit more than towards Hilo. Just sitting on the porch and looking out at the sky & ocean was so peaceful. „It is charming in a rustic way. It was smaller than we thought and the only heat in the living room and kitchen was a wood burning stove so we spent a lot of time and energy trying to stay warm.
