"Disappointing - have stayed at other Secrets Inclusive properties, this one neglected. Twice in visit, the elevator was broken. I took the stairs (60 up), because elevator was very small and after it broke, did not trust - stairs had no rails. Room was dirty: dust on ceiling fan and shelf behind the bed, hair balls left in our room (not ours). Walls were dirty, also in need of paint. Big mirror never cleaned, toliet area had molded/rusted trim. Both sinks did not drain well, tub did not work. Housekeeping left one handtowel daily, or none, other days one wash cloth to share. One evening power went out (told it was expected), next morning, there was no hot water. Room TV very small for placement far from the couch, rooms need more drawers. Outside fan did not work. Evening activities were poor, not posted clearly / hard to find. Freg was stocked well with beverages, but everytime the door opened, things fell out. Two snacks provided first day, never replinshed. One coffee cup in our room (again, two guests). We were on the top floor - told their was no ice machine on our floor, needed to go to the bar each day for ice. Disappointed in our meals - poor breakfast pastries selection, no jellies. Mexican night, one line for all food, same line chef prepared the tacos - poor set up. The location of the preferred area is horrible, a long walk through the resort to check in after you arrive? We expected Secrets Quality and Standards - SHAME ON HILTON"

"We have stayed here several times over the years and we have to be honest and say it has really gone downhill. The staff was great as always! But the facility itself has not been taken care of well. We didn’t have water to take a shower 3 evenings in a row. We would have to call or go down to the front desk and ask, then our water would come back on. The first time it happened, I had water at first then it went off. I had to wash my shower gel off with baby wipes because we had to wait too long. They say you get 2 bottles of water per room. So we’d tip our housecleaning person and get more. They charged like $128 for our 6 night stay for something called “Environmental fees”. We didn’t know about this until we were checking in. It was just sad that this place is such a beautiful location but hasn’t been well kept. Hope this helps. "

"Right on the gorgeous ocean. Rooms spacious and clean. Restaurants have good meal selections. Bartenders make great drinks. Not your typical all inclusive. We have been three times to this resort. Fourth trip is in the works!!"

"The chairs were hard and uncomfortable. There was not enough shade. Need umbrellas for lounge chairs. "

"Room was nice, but not wonderful. Main restaurant doesn’t have AC (Eating in sweltering temperatures is rough). Food is good though. No robes/slippers (Other resorts on the island have them in all their rooms). Flooring in the rooms is ice-cold so slippers would be nice. Staff is friendly but not Super Friendly. Entertainment was outstanding. Wildlife everywhere, which is wonderful. Glass water bottles that they make you use are outrageously heavy. The floor is beautiful and the water is warm. The bartenders at the pool are not very happy. Their drinks are ok. Water aerobics is fun. The resort grounds are beautiful. The bathroom floors at the pool are slipperier than an ice-skating rink."

"Beach was beautiful. There were a couple of sargassum days but they worked really hard to keep it clear. Staff was nice, especially in the buffet restaurant. Those servers were on top of it. Food was subpar, two restaurants that were alacart were either closed or hard to get a reservation even with the upgraded room. Room was very outdated, but it is an island so some leniency probably needed for construction limitations. Pool was also not great as in the adult pool most of the pool was too deep to stand. We would 100% go to Cozumel again, but not this resort."

"I have stayed at this property over twenty times. The staff is great. Staff remember you from previous stays. Room was clean and AC is great. Breakfast is always good. The property is beginning to show its age. My only complaint was the WiFi was spotty. In the past I never had WiFi issues and it seemed that way in most areas of the hotel. Overall another great stay, I will stay there again. "
