„The house was great for our annual Christmas gathering. The home was warm and cosy despite the cold weather and we were very comfortable. Jo, the owner lives next door and made us welcome.“

„We loved the beautifully renovated and well equipped cottage with its wonderful view on the Yorkshire hills. The little outside patch with its stone walls and flowers was very cute as well. The only downside was the noise from the intersection with all its traffic just in front of the house. And the fact that it was quite difficult to walk the dogs right from the house because of all the traffic racing by.“

„Artist cottage was a comfortable well furnished and clean property. It was within walking distance of Harrogate and handy for visiting surrounding area. There is a railway line to rear but it wasn't intrusive. Our only concern was the extremely steep wooden stair to bedrooms and with the bathroom being on the ground floor, this was not ideal. So, I would say not for the older guest or anyone with walking difficulties. “

The cottage is well maintained and extremely clean. Everything you need is there for a holiday. The beds are all comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. The toilet seat was wobbly, the electric shower was either very hot or very cold but not in between and therefore it was dangerous and we had to use a plastic container from the kitchen to use the bath water. The bath bath couldn’t be used as the drain plug was inefficient and there was no handle to come out of the bath. There was only one tea towel, no coffee or milk, no kitchen paper. „Nice house, big garden but no electricity upstairs worked at all“

„We stayed here last April (2023) and it was fine but the back garden was a disappointment and we andvised them of this issue. Unfortunately, even though the drain has been sorted the garden has gotten much worse and needs attention for little cost. Also the neighbours hang their washing over the fence which isn’t a very nice sight to see in a morning. The house itself is fine with everything you need. A long mirror somewhere downstairs would be helpful and a mirror in the first floor bathroom ...

„I booked this property and paid direct to the property. I received confirmation of payment by email. I drove to the property expecting a code for the key box. I did not get one. I tried phoning the letting company, no response, email no response, what'sapp no response. I contracted Hotels.com who also pursued. no response. I have lost my money and had to find alternative accomodation at a higher cost. do NOT book to stay at this property. it is a scam “

„Great place for a short stay. Clean & good facilities bit of confusion over payment…. Thought paid up front but hotel said not… so this is main reason for 4 not 5. Also close to late night pubs/ clubs…. So if you’re wanting to go to see early… probably not the place for you as the music can be quite loud. However, not an issue for us & slept really well. Ultimately good value for money & would stay again.“
