Framförallt: Hotellets personal var helt underbar! De fanns alltid tillgängliga för oss, ställde upp och hjälpte oss med allt! De gav oss verkligen allt man kan önska - och lite till!

„Das Zimmer war sehr schlecht isoliert, unter der Eingangstür 1cm Spalt, an den Fenstern ein paar Millimeter, es hat durchgezogen. Wir haben die Bettdecke an die Tür gelegt. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, brachte einen extra elektronischen Heizkörper. Im Bad könnt man damit leider nicht heizen, da gab es keine Steckdose, also immer nach dem Duschen frieren, hab mich direkt erkältet. Vom Hotel wurde eine Abholung am Flughafen für uns organisiert, das hat hervorragend geklappt! “

We asked to change the room which was possible, but we got a quite dark room next to the reception where the internet did not work very well. The reception staff was ok but not overly friendly. „Casona La Recoleta is a wonderful place to stay at Cusco. My spouse became ill from the altitude sickness upon arrival. The staff immediate tested her blood oxygen level and offered an emergency oxygen tank to relieve her symptoms. The temperature of the pool schould be a bit higher. The coffee machine in the room is great however on the first day it did not work. I recommend to change to Nespresso. Every team member we encountered was genuinely kind, always greeted us by name, and went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and happy.
The design of the hotel is stunning – rustic, elegant, and full of authentic local charm. Every corner has a story, and the ambiance is both peaceful and inspiring. Our room was impeccably clean, cozy, and well-stocked with fresh tea and water daily. In the evenings, we were treated to a lovely turn-down service, complete with a hot water bottle tucked into the bed – a delightful touch that made us smile each night.
One of our favorite parts of the day was relaxing by the fireplace in the common area, sipping on complimentary tea, and unwinding after exploring Cusco. "Nice hotel with great views. The shower was not closed at the front, meaning that the bath was all wet after each shower. Worse was that on the last two days there was no running water. This meant that we could not shower or use the toilet after sweaty hikes and before our flight, but this was probably an issue for multiple building in this area. We wanted to have dinner in the hotel's restaurant but it was mostly closed, even though indicated otherwise. Finally, we only had breakfast twice at the hotel and at both occasions the buffet was not ready at the time indicated."
