Ryokans in Präfektur Hokkaido

„First time visiting a ryokan and loved it!! The staff is very helpful. Ordered with the half board dinner, too. Enjoyed the private onsen. Hiking around the area was beautiful, with a bit of snow and fall colors.“

„Great hotel, the staff was helpful and many spoke English. The buffet type breakfast had a great selection of different foods - soups, different types of salads, fruits, etc. We stayed in a Japanese style room with futons, which were comfortable. The onsen was open most of the day.“

„Small but incredibly tranquil and well maintained. The room with the private onsen was well worth the money. Incredibly kind and accommodating staff“

„We all stayed in Japanese/western rooms with private onsens. The rooms were old but well maintained. I have to give a low score as the hotel allows smoking and the smell of smoke was overwhelming. We had to open all of the windows and allow airflow during our entire stay. Thankfully we came in the summer so we could open the windows and there was a nice and steady breeze. They gave us a spray to spray on the tatami mats and carpet but the smell of smoke was embedded into the walls and filters ...

„staff was absolutely wonderful“
