„Powter Howe is a wonderful place to stay. So welcoming and homely for a B&B. A beautiful old house and garden, plenty of space, very peaceful, a lovely breakfast and open fire in the evening. Mrs Lockwood is an excellent host, and the other guests who stayed during my 9-night visit were very pleasant as well. There are lovely short walks nearby to the lake and in the woods, and only 10 minutes drive to Keswick. I hope to be back soon.“
