„We used the Hare & hounds as a stopover on our way home but will give serious consideration to returning to explore the Lakes from there“

„Close to the train station.“

„Exceptional stay! Beautiful breakfast, great location and very clean! Would highly recommend.“

„The lady who gave me breakfast- the owner was really helpful and friendly and gave me a perfect breakfast. I have no complaints and the price was fair.“

„Clean airy room .. Friendly staff . Lovely stay . Very happy thank you .“

„The reason I haven’t scored 5 is that Expedia sold us a room that had issues with noise / cooking smells as it’s above the kitchen and is noisey and smelly when the staff are cooking. We stayed in a room named Helvellyn and Expedia didn’t state any issues with any rooms. If we had booked direct with the queens head it details the room helvellyn as having issues with noise etc due to it’s proximity to the kitchen. I think Expedia have been misleading not detailing the facts about that particular ...

„Very nice spacious room with modern shower over bathroom. Very friendly and kind personnel, very engaged and helpful. Both dinner and breakfast delicious. All in all, one of our best stays on our roundtrip“

„Friendly staff, large rooms, great choice at breakfast all freshly cooked. Will visit again!“

„Schönes Hotel im Zentrum Amblesides. Freundliches Personal, angenehmes Ambiente, nettes Zimmer, modernes Badezimmer. Kann ich sehr empfehlen!“

„Das Hotel war gut, aber das Restaurant schrecklich!“

„Our room in the coach house was compact but was very clean, had everything we needed and overall satisfactory. Our room faced the main road so lots of traffic noise. The shower room window had clear glass & faced the car park with only a blind for privacy. Last time we stayed we were in a larger quieter Lapwing room which for us was better. Breakfast was very good food & service. All staff attentive, willing & helpful. Would stay again but aim for Lapwing upgrade.“

„Nettes Personal, eine Gastwirtschaft in der die Zeit stehen blieb, leckeres Essen, eine sehr gemütliche Atmosphäre zum chillen. “
