"This hotel is located in a tough and arguably unsafe neighborhood. If you’re a nervous tourist who can’t handle Queens energy, this is probably not for you. The walk to the F-train (about 8 minutes) is lined with homeless individuals and people constantly asking for money. Police presence is visible on almost every block. Local buses one block away connect you to Astoria and Steinway, which is a plus.
During our stay, there were daily disruptions: early morning construction noise, fire alarms (we were evacuated at 7am), carpet installation with hammering at 8am, and zero proactive communication from management. Requests were ignored, and there was no effort to offer compensation for repeated inconveniences.
The gym is more symbolic than useful — an old treadmill, a stepper, a Peloton bike, and a few free weights. Definitely not a fitness facility. On the positive side, the room was clean, and I appreciated the option of two different types of pillows. Also, if you’re into running or walking, it’s possible to reach Roosevelt Island on foot, which offers a great contrast to the rest.
If you can block out the chaos, don’t mind being ignored by staff, and are comfortable in a gritty urban setting — this might work for you."

Die Zentrale Lage war auch top. Mehrere U-Bahn Haltestellen in unmittelbarer Umgebung. Klar die Lage macht sich in der Lautstärke bemerkbar, aber das weiß man vorher.
Kritikpunkt gibt es höchstens für die Dusche, die ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, Wasser hat etwas gedauert bis es warm war und manchmal floß das Wasser nicht gleich ab. Aber das ist der einzige Kritikpunkt.
Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.
Tipp fürs Frühstück: Zwei Häuser weiter ist Toasties, dort kriegt man alles was man zum Frühstück braucht und das günstig (für NYC Verhältnisse) "
