We very much appreciate you being our guest. You are absolutely right - our hotel is not for everyone. However, someone such as yourself, that appreciates arts and culture, feels right at home. Hearing the sounds of the city: conversations in Italian, French, Chinese and Spanish intermix in a cosmopolitan chorus lets one know that they are in a cultural center. We do also have rooms off of the street that are quieter that one may ask for. Regardless, our location is the best in the city. We are happy that you found us and that you enjoyed your stay.

This was not the norm in 1906 when the hotel was built. Thus, we do not have such a modern contraption. We are a very historic property - actually, a Hotel going back to the 1880s - destroyed in the 1906 earthquake and rebuilt that same year. For the day, we were considered a luxury hotel, simply because each room has a private bathroom, which used to be a rarity.
