Despite many doorman/bellboys available upon arriving by car, no one made any attempt to assist with the luggage. The front desk agent for check-in was not a single time making eye contact during the process and was overall disinterested. We did not feel welcomed at all and considering it is a LHW property, there was nothing good about the first impression. The room was spacious and felt modern, however our room was on the 3 floor facing the main entrance and throughout the night it was very noisy (earplugs are needed!) and also the blinds are not shutting off the lights that are coming from the screens across the other buildings. Unsure why there are no proper blackout curtains and only blinds that arenât doing the job. Bathroom cannot be closed off and only has frosted glass walls. However the amenities used (Dipthyque) are excellent.
Been one evening on the rooftop terrace, which was a nice experience and drinks were of a good quality, however I donât understand why they allow children up to this space, which felt very disturbing and inappropriate for a bar. Used the Fitness facilities as well, which were solid for a city center hotel, however one of the two fitness rooms doesnât have any water dispenser and the one that has a dispenser provides only the tiny paper cylinder cups, that are useless if you are actually working out or using any of the cardio machines.
Overall the hotel lacks a little love and attention to detail, to actually make it a worthwhile experience.
