Zunächst das Positive - ich bin erst um Mitternacht in diesem Motel angekommen, die Rezeption war geöffnet und nachdem ich geklingelt habe, wurde ich auch von einem Mitarbeiter begrüßt. Nachdem alle Formalitäten getätigt waren, konnte ich mein Zimmer beziehen. Das Zimmer / Bad war, soweit ich dies beurteilen konnte, sauber. Am Tag meiner Abreise hat mir der Mitarbeiter ein (privates) Taxi gerufen, das innerhalb 20 Minuten vor Ort war und mich zum LAX-Airport gebracht hat. Also das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war mit einem Kühlschrank, Fernseher und einer Klima-Anlage ausgestattet. Weniger gefallen hat mir, dass das Schiebefenster nur sehr schwer zu öffnen ging und die Klima-Anlage sehr laut war. Ohne Klima war es im Zimmer allerdings nicht auszuhalten. Auch war mein Zimmer sehr hellhörig, so dass man Gäste, die Nachts oder Morgens mit Ihrem Gepäck ankamen oder das Motel verließen, sehr laut gehört hat, wenn sie am Zimmer vorbei gingen (ich hatte das 1. Zimmer im 1. Stock - da mussten alle vorbei). Ebenfalls konnten die Türen nicht leise geschlossen werden, sondern mussten zugeschlagen werden, damit sie verschlossen waren (Schlüssel sind Karten). Das Motel-Gelände war sehr sauber allerdings die Umgebung nicht, aber dieses Problem hat L.A. scheinbar generell. In ca. 1 Km Entfernung ist eine Metro-Train-Station zu Fuß erreichbar. Insgesamt war das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis absolut OK (ich bin 7 Tage geblieben)

In der Unterkunft stehen nur zwei Queensize Betten zur Verfügung. Die Badezimmer verfügen nicht mal über einem Spiegel über dem Waschbecken und ausschließlich über zwei Steckdosen am Bett. Das einzige Fenster nach draußen ist derart dreckig, dass man es öffnen muss, um rauszugucken.

Die Sauberkeit hat etwas zu wünschen übrig gelassen. Insgesamt war die anlage schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen und es war ziemlich hellhörig und dadurch laut. Ich würde mich nach einer anderen Unterkunft umsehen.

Das Hotel befindet sich ziemlich östlich am Sunset-Boulevard. Die Anbindung ist echt gut, da sich in der Nähe (ca. 5 Minuten zu Fuß) eine Metro-Station befindet und es zum Walk-Of -Fame an der Vine nur ca. 20 Minuten zu Fuß sind. Ich fand die Gegend um das Motel nicht unsicher und an der Western auf dem Weg zur Metro befindet sich ein super Mexikaner. Das Check-In hat super geklappt und der Rezeptionist, aber auch die Raumpflegerinnen und das weitere Personal waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Schlafraum schien frisch renoviert und hat mir gut gefallen. Das Badezimmer ist ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen. In der Dusche befanden sich noch zwei längere Haare, die ich aber problemlos wegspülen konnte. Leider ist das Hotel recht hellhörig. Man kann die Geräusche der Straße zu gut wahrnehmen und bekommt fast jedes Gespräch aus dem Nachbarzimmer mit, was mich aber nicht gestört hat. Für den Preis ist das Hotel echt in Ordnung, sodass ich es weiterempfehlen würde. Ich würde es für den Preis auch jederzeit nochmal buchen.

Wonderful hotel for the price! highly recommend
this hotel is perfect for a weekend stay! it was exceptionally clean, the ac worked wonderfully, management was super welcoming and friendly, 15 minutes TOPS from universal studios and overall had a wonderful stay. if you are looking for a affordable choice for staying in LA, this is a wonderful choice. the only thing that wasn’t perfect was the limited parking. but it wasn’t anything crazy of course! i would absolutely stay here again.
