Welcome to Heritage House, the oldest standing home in Los Alamos (1882), restored as living art. Sleeping up to 10, with wildly original interiors, a swinging Bali bed, secret-feeling nooks, lush private courtyards and a little magic around every corner. Just steps from Bell Street's tasting rooms, restaurants and shops. Historic? Absolutely. Stuffy? Never. Intimate weddings and private events available by separate arrangement.

Step inside 144 years of California history, lovingly restored with a philosophy as old as the house itself: buy next to nothing new.

Original stained glass, century-old redwood, hand-carved woodwork, heirloom finds and unexpected art coexist with modern comforts and a healthy sense of humor. Every piece has a story. Nothing is cookie-cutter. Nothing is here merely to be admired.

This isn't a museum. It's a place to make memories.

• The Bali Bed — A one-of-a-kind swinging daybed tucked into a wood-paneled covered patio. Read, nap, sip wine or do absolutely nothing.

• Kissing Cove — A cheeky little corner made for romance, photographs and stolen kisses.

• Named Rooms + Artistic Surprises — Distinctive spaces, original artwork, vintage treasures and playful details throughout.

• The Speakeasy — A dedicated bar area for cocktails, conversation and a little after-dark mischief.

• Smokey Joe — Our life-size stagecoach art installation out front. Yes, really.

• Thoughtful Comforts — Beautifully considered interiors, modern amenities and even a Toto bidet. Because we believe luxury and personality should coexist.

We believe the most beautiful things are often the ones that already exist.

Heritage House was restored with an eco ethos and an obsession for giving extraordinary materials another life. Vintage and antique furnishings, salvaged architectural details and thoughtfully chosen reusable pieces are part of the experience.

We don't believe in buying "fast furniture" to make something beautiful.

Set a gorgeous table. Pour the wine. Use the good dishes. Celebrate beautifully.

Los Alamos is one of California wine country's most charming, quirky little towns — historic, creative, wonderfully unpretentious and full of surprises.

• Walk to Bell Street's wine tasting rooms, restaurants, bakeries and boutiques

• Half a block from the historic 1880 Union Hotel

• Explore the town's galleries, vintage shops and distinctive local businesses

• Minutes to Santa Ynez Valley vineyards and wineries

• Easy access to Los Olivos, Santa Ynez, Solvang and the surrounding wine country



GATHER BEAUTIFULLY

Heritage House is also available for intimate weddings, private celebrations, creative gatherings and special occasions.

With its intentional design, distinctive interiors, intimate courtyards, outdoor dining areas and beautiful vintage furnishings, the property offers a setting that's anything but ordinary.

Events, outside visitors and gatherings beyond the registered overnight guests require advance approval and separate arrangements. Lodging reservations do not automatically include event use.



A FEW THINGS TO KNOW

• The entire home, private courtyards, gardens and designated outdoor living areas are yours to enjoy during your stay.

• Heritage House is a historic property filled with original materials, antique furnishings and one-of-a-kind pieces. Please treat them with care.

• Heritage House sleeps up to 10. Nightly rates include up to 4 registered guests; guests #5–10 are $85 per person, per night.

• Dogs are welcome for $50 per pet, per night. Please see the house rules for pet requirements.

• Only registered overnight guests are permitted unless additional visitors have been approved in advance. Events, gatherings and outside visitors require separate advance approval.

• Cancellation terms are those displayed for your specific reservation at booking.
