Wir haben das Deluxezimmer gebucht. Es ist geräumig, hat eine schöne Fensterfront mit tollem Ausblick und ist mit einem großen Bett ausgestattet. Die Gebetsrufe der nahegelegenen Moschee waren im Zimmer deutlich zu hören, was uns allerdings nicht weiter störte. Das Frühstück ist besonders positiv hervorzuheben. Viele türkische Speisen und Getränke wurden angeboten und schmeckten gut. Die Lage des Hotels ist perfekt. Wir konnten alles was wir sehen wollten zu Fuß erreichen.

Verbesserungswürdig: Ausstattung und Zustand der Unterkunft
Die Zimmer hatten alle Mängel. In einigen Zimmern hat es reingeregnet. In anderen Zimmern ging das Türschloss zum Abschließen nicht. Im anderen Zimmer war es sehr sehr laut, man hat die Nachbarn gehört, die Autos draußen, weil die Fenster so undicht sind. Der Frühstücksbereich ist nicht so einladend. Das Personal ist sehr nett und die Zimmer sind grundsätzlich auch sauber. Aber für diesen Preis sind die oben genannten Mängel nicht zu ignorieren.

Sehr empfehlenswert
In mehreren Aspekten wie Sauberkeit, Service, Personal und Lage ein sehr schönes Hotel. Ich würde es jedem empfehlen, da sehr viel Wert auf hochwertige Materialen und Produkte gelegt wurde was schon beim Betreten des Hotels bemerkbar ist. Ich komme gerne wieder 👍

I stayed with my boyfriend last week and personally we would not recommend the hotel. We booked a "tiny room" because we didn't even know what it looked like as there are no photos of the "tiny room" on the website. There were a lot of photos to see of all the other rooms - that's what excited us. Every day we asked the front desk if we could get a new room because it was just hard to move. We were then always told a time when we would get a new room (which was just a lie). We were willing to pay for a new room but never got a new one. On the 2nd day we wanted to change the hotel completely, but this was not possible because we would hardly get our money back. So we suffered with our room until the 4th day. What is also weird is that you have to call 3-4 times to get an iron. We were promised an iron and still didn't get it, so we went into town and when we came back it was about 4 a.m. and suddenly there was an iron in our room - although we were very overwhelmed, because normally no one should be in just walk into our room and put something down.

Wir mussten über eine Stunde auf unser Zimmer warten, obwohl wir erst um 15 Uhr dort waren. Die Zimmer sind nicht sauber und obwohl die Fenster geschlossen sind, fühlt es sich an, als ob es ziehen würde. Das einzige positive war, dass das Hotel in einer guten Lage war.

Schönes Boutique Hotel

Immediately upon arrival, the toilet malfunctioned. I was there for three days and there was no fix. But what’s worse is they did not give me a discount. Disappointing. The breakfast was amazing. Room was great otherwise. Amazing location.

Good location and close to attractions and tram. The Wifi is very slow and almost not workable so I have to use my cell data to connect to the internet. Also the taxi the hotel booked for me overcharged me to the airport. When I booked the taxi the front desk told me the charge will be a flat rate at 750 Lira (about $26) but when the driver dropped me off at the airport he asked for $35. I had to catch the flight and had no choice but paid him money. that is not honest and the hotel should not hire the taxi company.

Uncomfortable
Room is super small. My friend paid for the exact same room $105, but I was charged $192. This made me very angry. On top of that the room was freezing and they could not control the air conditioner. Very small room to walk. Bathroom super small and uncomfortable. They didn't even had a transformer. Definitely paid too much for this hotel I feel robbed.

J’avais hésité à réserver l’hotel vu que ils avaient une note de seulement 7,4 sur le site. J’ai été très agréablement surpris de ma chambre et de l’hotel en général. Le personnel y est très bien et le service spa aussi. Je ne vais pas pouvoir vous parler du petit déjeuner car durant mes deux nuits sur place je ne me suis pas réveillé à temps pour en prendre. It was like a horror movie. The room had plumbing problems and it was smelling disgusting, almost impossible to breath. When we contacted to front desk, they told us they don't have any other room available. We asked for a refund and they told us we need to contact expedia about a refund (ofcourse, expedia never refunds). When we were in the room, we realized there is blood stain on the sheets and they replaced the sheets. We couldn't sleep a single minute and it was the worst experience of my life. Now, neither hotel nor expedia is not willing to refund. Definitely not recommending this place to anyone.

I booked this hotel for my mom and my uncle based off the info I saw on Expedia. They both say they have had nothing short of a great experience here. In particular, they rave about a customer relations employee named Ferit. My mother says he is delightful and extremely attentive. From the beginning he has been super helpful and courteous, always asking if everything is alright and if they need anything at all. He speaks very good English which is a plus for tourists given the fact that at some hotels no one speaks English. The rooms are beautiful, clean, and the hotel as a whole is outstanding. The Root Karakoy comes highly recommended. I'm extremely grateful more than anything for Ferit and his constant attention to making sure my family is well tended to and comfortable. As I was speaking via video with my mother just now, he called the room to ask if they needed help with their bags (they were getting ready to check out) and he came right up. I was able to meet him virtually and sure enough, he was just as my mother described - pretty great. If this employee is to be considered for a promotion, please give it to him. Attention to detail and courtesy is extremely imperative for customers, especially in the hospitality business and for that, we are so grateful to Ferit.

The staff at checkin time communication skills are really poor. I checked out from there because of this treatment. HORRIBLE - NOT WORTH THE MONEY. HORRIBLE STAFF
I was placed in a VERY small room suitable for 1 person and not 2. Plus with a small window where we did not know if it was daylight or night time the room was approx. 10 square meters. When I asked to change the room the man in the reception said I got what I have paid for which is standard room. When I showed my hotels.com description where it said 17 square meter. He answered that all rooms were booked except for the suite and I had to pay the difference. I insisted that I wanted the size of room that was in the description, but nothing was too be done. HORRIBLE SERVICE. The dinning area was so dusty that I asked the staff to come and clean before we could eat. The first evening at the hotel before going to bed I saw that the sheets were dirty I asked the reception for a change, they were so delayed that I had to call them because we were tired of waiting and wanted to sleep. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE AND TOO EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT YOU GET. BETTER HOTELS ARE TO BE FOUND FOR THAT PRICE IN ISTANBUL. YOU DO NOT GET WHAT YOU HAVE PAID FOR.
