Charmantes Hotel in altem Stil
Die Hotelzimmer haben schon bessere Zeiten hinter sich, insbesondere das Bad. Dafür hat das Hotel seinen Charme bewahrt. Frühstück wird in einem prunkvollen Saal serviert und ist hervorragend.

Hotel im Zentrum von Harrogate mit langer Historie
Erster Eindruck - old English. Leider hat fast das gesamte Gebäude Holzdielung, welche fürchterlich knarrt und so die Ankunft im eigenen bzw. im Zimmer der Nachbarn für alle hörbar macht. So laut, daß man dadurch wach wird. Leider befand sich auch direkt unter unserem Zimmer ein Veranstaltungsraum, durch dessen Lärm bei einer Hochzeit und einer zwei Tage späteren Tagung nicht an schlafen zu denken war. Leider konnte mir beim ersten Mal kein Ersatzimmer zur Verfügung gestellt werden. Beim zweiten Mal (Tagung der Hotelkettenleitung!) wurde mir auf mein vehementes Auftreten dann ein separates Schlafzimmer zur Verfügung gestellt, wo wir ungestört und entspannt schlafen konnten. Insgesamt zeigt sich das Hotelpersonal aber stets sehr verständnisvoll und freundlich. Unglücklich ist auch die sehr begrenzte Parksituation, da das Hotel nur über wenige Parkplätze verfügt. Aber das muss man bei einem Hotel in dieser Lage akzeptieren. Umliegend gibt es eigentlich ausreichen kostenpflichtige Parkplätze, welche allerdings meist auf 3 Stunden begrenzt sind.

In a good location, good sized room and comfy bed etc but needs to improve some of the basics. Room had not been hoovered including bathroom. Toilet could have been cleaner and shower leaked. Ceiling needed a fix as a couple of leaks from above in evidence. Tolerable for a couple of nights but couldn’t stay longer.

The hotel is ideally situated and close to the shops. Although there is limited parking, we managed to park on site. We didn't have dinner in the hotel, but we did have breakfast, which was very nice. We have visited Harrogate many times over the years and have always wanted to stay at the hotel. We have now done so - and will do again next time we are in the area.

Set of room was careless, dressing table in wrong place for plugs and also had a board down the back so had to physically pull it away from wall to plug hair dryer in. Settee was in bay window when a table and 2 chairs would have been better for guests to look out of the window. Settee would have been better where dressing table is and dressing table moved to wall that had a plug socket half way up the wall so you could plug hair dryer in without having to manhandle the table. Because this was not done when putting furniture in the room shows a lack of care for guests.

Hi there, I have just checked your booking and you have in fact booked a cozy double room, where the beds are pushed up against the wall. Our regular doubles have just a standard double with access to the bed from both sides. Cozy doubles do tend to be a little bit cheaper than regular doubles as well.

Obviously an old building with lot's of character. Excellent location, could not fault anything. Only had breakfast which was very nice. Dog friendly which suited us as we could take our little pooch with us.

A bit noises due to Xmas parties, but it was Xmas. Breakfast was not too good due to buffet breakfast was cold. Otherwise everything else was good.

Great, exept breakfast
Nice looking hotel oozing old fashioned charm. Small car park but was lucky and managed to get a bay. Had a suite on second floor and found it roomy and comfortable. Excellent location for exploring Harrogate. Only downside was the quality of the cooked breakfast, limited choice, serve yourself buffet, no black pudding, no mushrooms, no fried eggs, no hash browns, what was available was over cooked hard sausages, over cooked bacon, scrambled eggs, potato pieces, tomatoes and beans which were only on the warm side, pity really, but all in all we enjoyed our stay. Not to mention nice friendly staff.

Needs updating !
Very dated hotel. Nothing ‘Executive’ about the Executive room we booked . Breakfast awful , everything had been mass produced early and was sitting under hot lamps . Bacon cremated and sausages dry . Fried eggs been under lights for over an hour and were like bullets . Hot drinks options good .
