Have been meaning to try the Sofitel since it opened. Was very disappointed. Lots of "stylish" stuff, but room was small and dark (dark fittings and flooring). Bathroom also small and divided into 3, which made it seem even tighter.
Water pressure in the shower was fine, if using the hose, but the rainshower head was weak, more like the odd raindrop by the time it reached me.
Parking is eye-wateringly expensive and I suspect, a bit of a rip off if you take the hotel's flat rate at the weekend.
Members of staff were attentive and helpful.
Food was "edible" but the seating was low and uncomfortable for eating.
It would have been nice to have been able to turn off the fan on the air-conditioning/heating, but at least you could partly open a window for some fresh air.
I found the decor very 80s. I would also appeal to any hotel designers to think about handles and fixtures. Square and solid chrome ones may look good, but are painful if bumped into!
There are better, more reasonable and more comfortable hotels in Frankfurt.
