She was courteous and helpful, answering my transportation questions and taking care of so much at once. The food is excellent and room quiet, clean and comfortable. “

„This is a pub with an incredible range of cask beers (10) mostly from the Lincoln Green Brewery. The 3 I try ed were excellent. The hotel (pub) has a faded grandeur feel and is basic. This suits me down to the ground. They do not do breakfast so we went to Tesco opposite which has a good cafe. The ensuite room was clean and tidy and met our needs well. It is up two flights of stairs though, no lift, and is a rabbit warren. Parking is on street. Overall I liked it but posh it is not.“

„Die Ausstattung der Zimmer ist nichts aussergewöhnliches. Ich würde es eher als klassisch englisch bewerten. Viel Teppich, Dusche in der Basewanne mit Vorhang usw. Es hat aber immerhin ein Mischhahn, was für England noch immer nicht selbstverständlich ist. Nicht geeignet für Frühaufsteher an Wochenenden. Das Morgenessen wird erst ab 8.00 Uhr dafür aber bis 12.00 Uhr serviert, darum kann ich keine Angaben über die Vielfalt oder Qualität machen. Das Restaurant ist für ein Abendessen aber recht ...

„We had a delightful weekend at this beautiful country hotel. It is the ideal place to recharge your batteries, quiet, well kept, our room had an excellent en suite with a walk in shower. The staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant serves excellent meals and the breakfasts are very good too. There is a well kept garden area with tables and chairs where one can relax. Uppingham and Oakham are a short drive away. We will visit again, definitely.“
