„It is easy to find and a good car part. From there it just got better. There was a lively welcome as we entered the bar and very efficient check in. The room was very new well looked after. We had dinner in the carvery and then worked on our laptops in the bar afterwards. The bed was very comfortable, strange for a hotel I find, and slept very well. The only downside is the hot water in the shower does take an age to arrive but once it does, there is plenty of it. We will return.“

It was market day (Wednesday) so traffic was really busy, we was having trouble finding somewhere to park, I telephoned the hotel and asked if it was okay to park early, they said yes and also I asked if we could park beyond our checkout time and they said yes. So stress free excellent service and experience 👍“

It's well situated in the middle of the square with plenty of parking though you are on a time limit but parking is available at the rear of the hotel next door and is available for you to use if you wish it. There is also a quiet beer garden at the back.“

„Always great when we stay at the little hide. We have been a few times just me and my fellas little getaway. Its our peace place with out the kiddies. Lovely and quite this time of year. Was on the cold side with the weather but the heater in the pod was amazeing at keeping you toastie. The only down fall for me was the magpie that seemd to haunt me whilst there hahaha. Really funny. The cafe food is excellent good price. Absolutely love this place.“

"Die Unterkunft Ansich, war schön, ein altes Gebäude mit schönem Foyer. Wir waren allerdings in einem Anbau, so würde ich es nennen, untergebracht, leider waren hier die ein oder anderen kleinen Spinnen, was man auch auf den Punkt Sauberkeit beziehen kann, da hier schon einige Staubweben vorhanden waren. Auch die Zimmer hier sind etwas hellhörig, so hatten wir abends immer ein Klopfen gehört oder wenn die Nachbarn geduscht haben.
Alles in allem, nett, aber ich würde beim nächsten York besucht eine andere Unterkunft buchen. Die Lage ist ok, aber was näheres an der Innenstadt wäre besser. "

"Da wir mit dem zugewiesenen Zimmer (direkt über Küchenabluft) nicht zufrieden waren, haben wir mit Rezeption abgesprochen, dass uns am anderen Tag nachmittags zwischen 16. und 17. Ur ein Ersatzzimmer gezeigt wird und wir entscheiden ob wir im ursprünglichen Zimmer bleiben oder ins Neue umziehen.
Als wir anderntags zurück kamen, stellten wir fest, dass sich keine persönlichen Sachen mehr im Zimmer befanden. Auf unsere Reklamation wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass wir umgezogen seien und unser ursprüngliches Zimmer schon weitervermietet sei. Es waren schon andere Leute im Zimmer obwohl wir den Tresor noch nicht geleert hatten!!!
Das neue Zimmer war überhaupt nicht der Hit. Das schlimmste aber: unser Kleider welche im Schrank gehangen sind, wurden in einem Abfallsack ins Ersatzzimmer transportiert, im weiteren wurde in unseren Taschen rumgewühlt!!!
Als wir diese Umstände reklamiert haben, wurde uns klargemacht, dass dieses Hotel besser verlassen würden, was wir auch umgehend gemacht haben
