I stayed at Embassy Suites by Hilton DFW North with my family and checked in on March 14, and unfortunately our experience was very disappointing.
First, the staff at the front desk did not seem very friendly or welcoming. The overall service felt cold and unhelpful from the moment we arrived. One of our biggest frustrations was that our third room was still not ready even an hour after the official check-in time, which caused unnecessary delays for our family.
Another issue was the parking fee. We were charged $20 per day just to park at the hotel, which I find ridiculous, especially for guests already staying at the property.
The room itself also had several problems. There was a noticeable hole in the wall, which made the room feel poorly maintained. In addition, the lighting throughout the room was very dim, making it uncomfortable and inconvenient.
We also found a bug crawling near the bed. On the second night, my daughter’s room key suddenly stopped working. When we went to the front desk, the staff said they didn’t know why the room had been removed from our account. Because of this issue, they couldn’t leave the room together to go to breakfast since their keys would not work. It was very frustrating and inconvenient.
Overall, between the unfriendly staff, delayed room availability, unexpected parking fees, and the condition of the room, this stay was far below what we expected. I am very disappointed with this experience and will not be returning to this hotel a
