Great Location and Service
Great location to shopping, dining and activities. Daily breakfast was very good and plenty. They even offered warm snacks, juice beer and wine in the afternoon during weekdays complimentary.

Our view was incredible. The hotel staff was fantastic, helpful, and friendly. The room was clean, the maids did a great job keeping up with towels (this is often a challenge for traveling families) and to my surprise the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower not only smelled great, but it was great quality. The self-help washer and dryer was a plus since we’re traveling for a few weeks. The complementary breakfast included eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, cereals, oatmeal, bagels, fruit, and pastries. Overall a great experience right off magnificent mile.

The property was within walking distance to restaurants, shopping, parks and entertainment. The staff, especially Lynette and Anthony, were fantastic. Definitely would recommend this place. The only downside, the washroom could use an upgrade.

Pros: Nice room with appliances, furniture, TV, etc. The area was great and easily walkable to Michigan Avenue. Some of the housekeepers I talked to were really sweet. My room wasn't completely clean when I first checked in (trash in the bin, bar soap in the shower, etc). The breakfast also wasn't very good and there weren't good options for someone with dietary restrictions. I only ate it twice and decided to eat at some of the fabulous brunch places in the area instead.

Me encantó la habitación con vista al lago , veía amaneceres espectaculares . Hicieron diariamente la limoieza de la habitación . Llegas caminando a los atractivos turísticos , casi en la esquina de la av . Michigan . Lo único deficiente fueron la cama y las almohadas , la cama se hundía muchísimo y las almohadas era muy incómodas. .

The location is convenient near the hospitals. The lobby is very small and desks were understaffed so the line of 4 people made the area uncomfortably tight. I was "warned" upon check-in that mornings were busy and I should plan on a 20 minute wait for an elevator! (It wound up being only 5 - 6, but I had to change my morning plans to avoid a 20 minute wait). Taking the stairs from the 16th floor carrying luggage was not an option. The room was clean, and bed was comfortable. Unfortunately, outside noises were disruptive during the night - but to be expected when staying near a hospital.The valet parking was also understaffed - it was very tight spaces and long waits for guests to get their cars out front. Overall, I would not stay here again nor would I recommend to others.

The room had chipping paint, torn carpet and the tub was stained. The elevator area and hallways were so cramped it felt like an old NY apartment building. The room was decently spacious but in my opinion this was a Hampton that they stuck a homewood label on and I am not a fan of Hampton Inns. I wish I would have known this in advance.

Rooms are ok. No issues there. Problem is the elevator system and the cramped hallways. 3 pint-sized cars with what seems to be a programming issue, cannot handle the traffic of the vertical-heavy building. The breakfast was the standard chain complimentary stuff, but they seemed to struggle keeping up with demand. Staff was very friendly sans one or two who were just there for the paycheck.

Staff was wonderful! Breakfast was excellent. Suite was clean and beautiful. My granddaughter is in the NICU at Lurie's hospital. It's super easy to walk across St. Clair Street and enter the parking garage that leads to the hallways to get to Lurie's, all indoors. A blessing in February! I felt very safe there!!

The ceiling was chipping paint. Woke up at 430am to no cable tv service. Went down to eat breakfast and when we got done and was throwing the plates away out crawled a nasty disgusting cockroach from behind the garbage can headed the direction of the food!!! So gross!!!!!!
