„We spent two nights here as a family while visiting the area in March of 2025. The house is in a quiet neighborhood, close to a grocery store and restaurants. Easy drive to Monterey or other nearby areas in the Salinas valley. Although the house itself is small (a “casita” after all) the 3 bedrooms are surprisingly large and even have closets (plus one has a half bath). The backyard is enchanting and relaxing. Grace is an excellent and thoughtful host and everything was in order when we arrived. ...

„This place is a hidden gem. It’s so spacious and quiet and relaxing. We are having a very busy trip down the Pacific coast and Salinas was an oasis in the middle of rolling farmland, for us to recharge away from the tourist bustle of Monterey. The lovely town of Salinas and the excellent Steinbeck museum was icing on the cake.“

„The house met all of our needs. When we arrived the smell was aromatic and clean. We noticed a few ants in the kitchen on in the cabinets but not a really big deal. We went to run the heat the first night and the airflow was terrible so I looked at the filter in the hall way ceiling return grill and it was completely plugged so I bought a new one and changed it for you. I left the old one in the garage by the washer and dryer. The master bathroom exhaust fan needs to be replaced also. We enjoyed ...

„The hosts were very gracious; we had everything we needed and then some. The bathroom was stocked with toothbrushes, toothpaste, q-tips, and cotton balls. The house was clean and comfortable; thank you for a great stay. “

„The River House is as advertised, well appointed, clean, comfortable beds, peaceful with a hot tube and the sound of a river which you can walk down too. It was much further away in terms of time than I expected. Although not too far in terms of distance, the road to the house is VERY twisty, and since we were in a rental car, took it slowly, easily taking an hour or more to and from Monterey. That was a big chunk of the day. “

„This was a great property. Everything was as described and the rooms were very nice. There were lots of silverware dishes to use, there was toiletries in the bathroom and nice towels. We were going to Monterey and it was a quick drive down both days that we went. Found a local Taqueria that was very good. We would definitely stay again when we’re in the area.“

„This was an easy-highway access location that allowed us to easily see Monterey and Santa Cruz. We unexpectedly also enjoyed the town of Marina: the dunes and cafes and their library’s playground and garden. Very cool little spot!“
