„What an amazing property. Wildlife was abundant and you could hear birds and cows. I wish that the house had not still been set up for a wedding reception. There should be sofas in the main area for conversations when not being rented for a wedding. A set of instructions would have been helpful such as for the fireplace and how to use the oven. „Historical does not equal run down and that’s what we experienced unfortunately. In addition, the popcorn they popped daily made the place smell and someone spilled in the elevator…in the 3 days we spent there it was never picked up by staff. Everything felt like the staff just did not care. However, I will say the beds were comfortable and I slept very well each night, the showers, heating and cooling in the rooms all very comfortable as well.“

„Our stay was overall very good, but the breakfast could use an improvement. Many guests have dietary restrictions, such as being vegetarian or eating only halal meat. While we understand the limitations of a complimentary breakfast, it would be highly appreciated if different food items were kept separate. For example, keeping the eggs and pork in completely different trays would make a huge difference for those with dietary restrictions. Thank you“
