„Our family absolutely adored this little slice of calm. We brought our 1 and 4 year old and truly got to connect as a family in ways we often aren't able to back in the "real world". No wifi puzzles and DVDs of the Disney classics. Our 4yo loved splashing in the creek just outside and both kids loves roasting marshmallows in the fire pit. „Alone Mill Schoolhouse was very charming, had everything we needed for our stay, and the host who lived nearby was wonderful and welcoming. Check in and check out was about as easy as it gets! We were near our family wedding venue which made it nice. Breathtaking part of Virginia. Would recommend to friends and family.“

„The house was very nice. The host offered lots of coffee, shampoo, hand soap, towels, and wash cloths and even detergent for the dish washer. The hot tub, showers, and beds were very clean. The WiFi offered did not work to be able to pull up the VRBO app to communicate with the host or to be able to play pandora. We loved our daily visits from the family of deer“

„Everything was as described in listing. Beautiful property both inside and out. My family & I enjoyed the stay. Water was a little cool for us in September but our pup thoroughly enjoyed the river as well. The sound of the running water is very peaceful. The only suggestion I would make is adding a television in the master suite (personal preference) and add a few more towels & wash cloths. Great home. I highly recommend.“

„Very nice cabin, we were extremely impressed by it. It's location as perfect in relation to Lexington (maybe 5 minute drive), the surrounding scenery was very nice. The attention to detail of the cabin was very thorough as well. Cabin was clean and hygienic material provided (soap, shampoo, towels) was on par with a top notch hotel. „We had a great stay. The location of the property was perfect for our trip. We enjoyed evenings by the fire pit and cooking over the fire. The cottage was well appointed. The forethought to put the cabins on backup power with a generator cane in handy after a thunderstorm that took out the power. I highly recommend a stay here. Communication with the owner was prompt. “

„My 14 year old daughter and I stayed for 3 nights while she competed at a show at the Virgina Horse Center. It was lovely to have a peaceful and relaxing place to come back to after our long and exhausting days at the VHC. Communication with Audrey was great from the start. The property and views are gorgeous, especially each morning as we left at dawn for the show.
