The communication with the host and the check in process was very good. However, the overall condition of the house was poor. There is deferred maintenance that needs to be addressed and the cleanliness of the house was questionable. It should be noted that there was a distinct odor in the home that suggested a pet either lives there or was recently in the house. This was a problem for us because of allergies and asthma. The good news is that the owner has been communicative and has indicated that he/she will address these issues. I would definitely check in to make sure the maintenance has been addressed - paint, grout, cleaning, etc. I would definitely not stay there if you have allergies or asthma. I don't like leaving bad reviews, but this was a bad experience that I would like to prevent for others and help the host improve if possible.
