Family Retreat with Pool and Hot Tub

Hannalei House is a 50's ranch style house situated on a half-acre of land in Vista, with tons of tropical plants on the property. Features a pool and a hot tub.

THE SPACE:

The living room / dining room / kitchen is open-concept, bright and airy. A large dining room table with benches seats 8 comfortably and more if you squish.

Bedroom 1 features a king bed, bedroom 2 features a queen, Bedroom 3 features double-sized bunk beds and a twin trundle (can sleep 5, best for kids but works for adults if they don't mind being cozy), and Bedroom 4 / Bonus room features a queen sized bed. Bedroom 4 is a converted garage with separate rolling AC unit (in summer) and radiator heater (in winter). Access to this room is via the dining area (as pictured).

The pool wraps around the back/side of the house. Shallow end is 3.5' deep and deep end is 7.5' deep. It is not heated, but we do have a 5 person hot tub that is most definitely heated! :)

Lots of outdoor space for hanging out, having bbq's, and spending time together!


PARKING and GUEST ACCESS:

Driveway is long and lots of parking is available. 4-5 cars can be parked without anyone blocking each other in. Street parking available on nearby Watson Way.

Front door is operated with a keypad. Code will be provided the day before check in.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:

We adore this house and along with many happy guests, we have made some incredible memories here. We also know that everyone has different expectations. Please review the details below to ensure that this place is a good fit for you.

- NOT A HOTEL: This home is not a hotel, and it is not brand new. It is a home built in the 1950s, and while almost everything has been updated, it is still an older home. Please expect some amount of wear and tear based on normal use.

- POOL: Pool is not heated. During summer months the temperature is quite cool. During cooler months the pool is also fairly cool.

- HOT TUB: We ask guests to keep hot tub temperature at 103F. We do our best to make sure it's hot and ready upon your arrival. If a previous guest lowers the temperature (we ask guests not to), it can sometimes take a few hours to bring it up to temp.

- BEDROOM 4: Bedroom 4 is a room created by the conversion of a garage into an additional bedroom. The vents for heat and ac do not reach into this room, so a rolling AC unit is provided in the summer months and a rolling heater in the winter months. Laundry closet is also located in this room. Bedroom 4 is a little more basic than the other 3 bedrooms located within the house, please refer to the photos before booking.

- AIR CONDITIONING: The main part of the house is cooled by central air conditioning. Because of the vaulted ceilings in most of the house, the AC has to work fairly hard on hot days. We have solar, so feel free to run the AC as much as you like. It keeps the house fairly cool, but may not be able to keep it as cool as some guests would like on the hottest days.

- BATHROOMS: There are two bathrooms located in the house. Bedroom #1 has an ensuite bathroom with a stand-up shower. The second bathroom is located in the hall across from Bedroom #2. While do allow groups of up to 13 people at Hannalei house, we also recognize that it’s difficult for 13 people to get ready for their day using 2 bathrooms. Please plan for this if you decide to stay with us.

- POWER IN BATHROOMS: Both bathrooms are on the same electrical circuit. This means that the power will trip if curlers / blowdryers are used in both bathrooms simultaneously. Additional curlers or blowdryers can be powered in bedrooms as an alternative. If the power goes out in bathrooms, please contact us for reset instructions. Resetting is easy and fast.

- COMMUNICATION: We do our best to be very responsive hosts. If you encounter any issues, please let us know right away, and allow us to work with you to resolve them. We are partners in making your stay the best it can be.

- CHECKOUT TIME / PROCESS: Checkout time is 10am, unless we make other arrangements. Please view checkout instructions, which are common sense and minimal. We appreciate your help leaving the place in good condition for our next guests.

- PETS: We do allow pets, with a limit of 2 pets. There is a one-time fee of $195 for groups with pets. Please let us know the breed and weight of any pets you might be bringing. Thanks!
