We LOVED the fire pit and smores which our hosts graciously supplied. The countryside was quiet and the night-time stars were spectacular. We highly recommend this beautiful home for any stay you have in the area. “

Our visit to the area exposed us to both history and agriculture. The farmhouse certainly further illustrated that. All the work done to refresh this home years back has kept it's original luster. „The property was in a great location and very clean. The host was very upfront with a few minor things that were still needed for him to fix. The kitchen was updated but could have used more that 2 coffee cups. The house was very pet-friendly. The screened in porch was great and loved reading and watching the sunset out there. The price was a bit on the high side with all of the taxes etc. We will be renting there again!“

„Beautiful property and nicely renovated. Would not recommend 10 adults to stay here, as the biggest bed is a double. My husband and I ended up sleeping in separate beds. Loved having our own space for our family and not having to worry about leaving our dog while we went to non-pet friendly places on our visit. Would stay here again“

„We had a great stay at the farmhouse at Peaks of Otter Winery in Bedford, VA! My husband & I needed rest and relaxation and the stay at Elmo's Rest farmhouse did not disappoint!! It's remote enough in the gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountains for peace & quiet but close enough to town (about 17 minute drive) to get to the grocery store, gas station, and very yummy Joe's Coffee Shack where I got a Caramel Machiatto everyday :) Definitely book this if you want to retreat and spend time alone or with ...
