„What a great place! Peaceful and quiet. The cabin was very clean and had all the amenities you could possibly need. Unfortunately it rained all weekend so we couldn’t hang outside by the fire pit but the screened in porch is a nice extension of the home. The hosts reached out to make sure everything was going well and it was. There is a gas station/cafe around the bend and the cafe has really good food, especially for breakfast. The gas station has hunt brothers pizza and that was good as well. ...

The master on the main floor was perfect for the grandparents, and there was plenty of space for the rest of us to have our own spaces on the second floor. The cabin is exactly like the photos, but with even more charm in person. Beautiful view and amazing deck. Well stocked, comfortable beds, great communication with host.“

„Wow! This is an amazing place, my 11 year old daughter liked it more than the house we stayed at in wintergreen last year, which was very nice! All of the appliances were state of the art, she really enjoyed drawing on the screen on the fridge. Steven was an amazing host, very kind and responsive! „The property is so beautiful. We walked the trails several times a day. Our dogs had a great vacation. They loved the freedom of the place. We heard the flying squirrels and were lucky enough to have one float past the window. Nearby we enjoyed the Grayson Highlands State Park. We did a short hike and got to see some wild ponies. The home is beautifully decorated and you can tell the owner wants you to have a great experience.“

„Beautiful house, sounds of the river and the crickets was so relaxing. Didn’t catch any fish but the grandkids loved playing on and in the river’s edge. Large backyard for them to run around in while we could watch from the deck or the fire pit area. Just a wonderful place to relax and enjoy God’s beauty. Would gladly go back again. "POSITIV Schönes, historisches Hotel im Zentrum der Kleinstadt Marion, VA Gemütliches, sauberes Zimmer mit historischem Charme. Freundliches Personal ZU VERBESSERN Auch als historisches Hotel würden einige Auffrischungen und Renovierungen nicht schaden. Gläser statt Plastikbecher auf dem Zimmer wäre toll. Gäste im Nebenzimmer durch Verbindungstür laut zu hören. Treppenstufen, um zur Lobby (ab dort Lift) zu kommen, bei schwerem Gepäck unbequem. Frühstück zwar kostenlos, aber viel zu einfach und nichts frisch, Frühstücksraum nicht schön. Klimaanlage im Zimmer sehr laut. "

"Nach den Bildern im Internet waren wir wahrscheinlich im falschen Hotel.... Die Bilder haben teilweise nicht der Wahrheit entsprochen. Unser Zimmer war in einem schlechten Zustand und sollte dringend renoviert werden. Insbesondere war das Frühstück eine Frechheit. Es hatte nicht einmal den Standard continental. Verglichen mit den Bildern im Internet grenzt dass schon fast an Betrug. Als Stammkunde bei hotels.com mit insgesamt Übernachtungen im dreistelligen Bereich, hat es das Hotel in die Top 3 meiner schlechtesten Hotels geschafft. "
