Das Paradies auf Erden
Wir haben uns dieses Hotel ausgesucht, um uns nach einer sehr intensiven Zeit etwas auszuruhen und das Piemonte mit seinen Schönheiten, seinem Essen und seinen Weinen zu geniessen. Das Hotel mit seiner Wellnessanlage und seinem Park ist das Paradies auf Erden!

Kurzurlaub zum Hochzeitstag
Wir gehen seit ein paar Jahren ins Relais Chateau San Maurizio. Es ist in eine wunderschöne Landschaft gebettet mit sensationeller Aussicht. Wir hatten unterschiedliche Zimmer, welche immer in tadellosem Zustand waren. Leider ist der Badebereich etwas "in die Jahre gekommen". Oder er müsste wieder einmal renoviert werden. In der Salzgrotte nagt der Zahn der Zeit. Man könnte einiges wieder auf vordermann bringen. Der Frühstücksraum hat etwas an seinem Charme verloren, da er in einen Neubau verlegt wurde und nicht mehr in den früheren Räumen zu finden ist. Im grossen und ganzen hat uns der Aufenthalt aber wiederum sehr gefallen und wir würden auch wieder hingehen. Die Lage und die Gebäude sind einmalig.

Expected more for the price. Good for rainy days.
Most of the staff (except front deks, spa and guido restaurant) speaks badly English and tries to be very fast. Therefore it happened quite often that we started to ask a question and the person left in the middle and came back with something else or they ask you and don't wait for the answer. Small stuff but a bit annoying when you try to relax and someone is super fast/busy/stressed... Breakfast is rather small/limited. Same is valid for the open wine selection of the truffle bistrot. There they serve only the wines from the resort which is a pitty as a level further bellow at the restaurant guido they have a great selection of wines by the glass. The room was rather small and we could hear everything which was happening from the hallway. Spa and the park are very nice. Also the two pools with a kind of dead sea experience are a must. Excellent to relax for 2-3 days We spent >1'300€ for 2 nights, 2 dinners (1x truffle bistrot & 1x guido), 4 glasses of wine, 1h massage.

Wir waren bereits das 4. Mal im Relais San Maurizio. Es war wiederum ein toller Aufenthalt diesmal im Turmzimmer 119. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Und die Empfangsdame im Spa hat uns überaus freundlich empfangen, man fühlt sich total gut aufgehoben. Das einzige was man verbessern könnte ist die Poolanlage draussen. Im Gegensatz zu der idyllischen Gartenanlage ist die Umgebung beim Pool sehr steril, ohne Grünpflanzen eher kühl. Aber insgesamt haben wir es wieder rundum genossen. Wir kommen sicher wieder!

Ok ma non TOP come un 5 stelle
La location è unica nel suo genere, panorama mozzafiato e buon cibo. Dettagli non curati negli spazi comuni all'interno della struttura, personale al bar molto gentile ma non all'altezza di un 5 stelle, così come al bistrot. Altra storia invece per il ristorante da Guido. Materasso scomodissimo. Colazione buona ma non eccellente, termina alle 10:30, 10:35 già sgomberano tutto spazzatura inclusa. Suggeriamo di allungare l'orario visto che gli ospiti scelgono il san maurizio principalmente per il relax e per vivere la struttura stessa.

As good as last time but at twice the price
400 year-old monastery surrounded by steep sided vineyards and breathtaking views. The hotel has a great spa and two restaurants one of which has a Michelin star. the food was very good and the wine list extensive.we very much enjoyed our stay. Just a couple of grumbles. I stayed at this hotel on November 2019 and the accommodation prices have DOUBLED since! Clearly trying to make up for the losses during lockdown. Be prepared to pay high prices for a very small room with no tub.

Il soggiorno al San Maurizio regala emozioni indimenticabili..la struttura e' molto bella,il giardino e' curatissimo...particolarmente apprezzabile e' il suo ristorante da Guido,oltre che per la cucina ,per la vista meravigliosa sulle colline che offre. Ci e' piaciuto molto anche l'angolo dell'aperitivo con gli sgabelli posizionati di fronte a un panorama incantevole Molto gradita e' stata anche la possibilita' di restare in piscina ancora qualche ora dopo il check-out

Amazing place with an outstanding location. Can recommend any day! If you have a dog this place is great and very dog friendly! Only note is that the staff in the reception have an unpleasant attitude which is very provocative. But I’ll not let it impact my overall recommendation as I am sure management is working on improving it.

Definitely worth visiting, we stayed 3 nights in the place and just would not wanted to leave... Friendly staff always available, several buildings in excellent condition (for some of them being 400 years old :) Looking from the map it may not look that interesting but take our words and drive there!

We stayed at the relais for three nights over a long weekend of wine exploration in the region. The grounds are absolutely stunning with the landscape gardens and the park, and the views over the surrounding hills are breathtaking. The facilities are amazing: fantastic spa with outdoors relaxation areas and the salt cave, outdoor heated swimming pool, generally everything is very pretty and well kept. However the big let down is the service which is not 5 stars by any stretch, except at the Guido restaurant where the staff were great. Upon arrival reception wasn’t particularly welcoming or helpful, but the worst is the staff at the bistro / breakfast who seemed stretch, not particularly helpful and relatively dismissive. The coordination between staff is also poor as we were offered a table at the restaurant in the morning to find out at the reception that the restaurant was fully booked for days. After some complaints a table was found, however when we got there in the evening they didn’t know about our reservation which was quite embarrassing. The pool area was beautiful but you had to remove towels from loungers from previous occupiers before settling down. At this price level you’d expect someone to constantly make sure areas are cleaned when people leave. Staff should help you and be nice and welcoming whereas it felt like we were disturbing them (except the spa!). Overall, we might come back because of the beauty of the place but hoping staff quality increased!
