The location is great, a bus stop is just crossing the street. And for shopping, Union Square is just 2 blocks away. The restaurant inside the hotel is super good. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is very old, a lot stuff needs replacement or a lot of TLC. Walls are also paper thin so be ready to listen to everything from the toilet flushing to talking to water running or music coming from rooms nearby. Luckily we were on the top floor so we didn’t have to listen to anything above but I can’t imagine what it was like for floors below us. This location is in a really sketchy area too, we were afraid to walk on foot nearby our hotel.

The overall experience with service and amenities at the Marker were great. It became very clear that the room I was given was not updated. The chipping vinyl on the headboard flaked all over the room and all over my hair and clothes. The furniture was clearly worn and stained. I also had the issue of having someone come clean my room, even with the Do Not Disturb sign placed on the door. Overall, it felt like growing pains as they remodle, but it did not leave me wanting to stay at the Marker again.

I liked the uniqueness of the rooms and hotel interior but the location of the hotel was not in a safe place which is to be expected in any major city downtown area . Overall it was a good experience

My 1 and only complaint is the parking. If the hotel had their own parking lot and actually offered discounted or free parking, I would’ve been satisfied. I paid for my stay, then had to pay $50/day for parking. That is ridiculous to me! For example. Hotel Nikko offers free parking and its valet. We took a chance to give another hotel a try but probably will not stay here again based on the parking situation!

Enjoyed the cleanliness and that the doors are kept locked unless let in by staff. The front desk does not keep staff there 24/7 so you have to be patient on when you need something. Also TVs have Limited channels and are not smart TVs which was frustrating
