This newly remodeled home is situated on the ground level in a 2-unit building, with easy/convenient access and no stairs. Features include 2 br's, 2 ba's, sleeps 6 (4 adults max), & whole-home A/C.

Newly remodeled & professionally designed! You'll love our beachy furniture, furnishings & décor. Step into the main front entry door into an open main living area that includes a 55” SMART Samsung TV (with full cable), plush sofa, accent chairs, & window line out to the ocean to take advantage of the unforgettable views! The new kitchen features white quartz counters, new white cabinets, bar seating, recessed lighting, & fully stocked kitchen.

The hallway will lead you to 2br's & 2ba's. The master features a gorgeous new Cal King bed & frame, SMART TV (smart apps only, no cable), & bathroom (shower). Br #2 has a fun full-twin trundle bed (full on top + twin that pulls out underneath) & huge closet for extra storage. Off the hallway is a 2nd ba (shower).

POLICIES & GOOD NEIGHBOR GUIDELINES
• GUEST REQUIREMENTS | Per certain regulations & HOA requirements, guests must be at least 30 years of age to book with us. If your group is all adults, then all guests must meet our minimum age of 30.
• OCCUPANCY | Our maximum occupancy refers to the number of people allowed in the home at any given time (ie includes both guests & visitors), some of which may be mandated by certain regulations. Exceptions towards the maximum number of people allowed may be made for children under the age of 2. Guest(s) agrees that more than the number of people stated on the reservation shall not occupy the premises. The number of guests includes visitors, even if they are not staying overnight.
• NOISE | Our homes are intended for relaxing getaways, not rowdy beach parties. Music and other noise is to be kept at an appropriate level and in a manner that is mindful to neighbors. Noise that can be heard 50 feet away from the home is prohibited. Parties are not allowed. If there is excessive noise or music, any illegal activity, or evidence of violation of these policies, you may be asked to vacate the premise without any refund and additional charges may be assessed.
• COMBINATION LISTINGS | Due to occupancy restrictions, larger groups looking to book multiple units must reserve a approved combination listing. No more than 1 combination listing can be reserved per stay.

“This beach house was everything we hoped for and more. Waking up to the sound of the waves and having direct beach access was unforgettable. The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and well-equipped for cooking and relaxing. The beds were comfortable and the outdoor space was perfect for sunsets. The host provided clear instructions and great local recommendations. Highly recommend this place for a peaceful and memorable getaway.” I just realized I had booked this place and then revised my booking and ended up getting the one directly next-door to this house so my review is for the other house not this one.

Family of 3 (including a 3 y/o) booked the lower level primarily for direct access to beach, our own parking spot and the views. We were scared reading the very poor reviews but overall, I give it a 9/10. The home is clean and yes the paint is chipped, but that didn't affect us. Yes, the front patio table and chair is not wood and instead black metal/plastic but that is probably better given the oceanfront conditions. The AC is 3 units (one in each of the 2 bedrooms and one in the living room) and was easy to work. Our only 3 complaints were 1) The microwave did not work but we made do with the stove and oven 2) Yes, there was initally a smell which improved once I closed the windows in both bathrooms and I think that is just beach/old house smell 3) You could hear the neighbors upstairs which fortunately did not wake up our toddler since we brought sound machines. But overall, awesome location and yes the parking spot is tight so don't get a huge car. Worth it for sure for great location to beach, sites, and cafes

When you walked around to the front door the view was amazing. The chairs and tables were not the same on the patio but were acceptable. The outside was pretty beat up due to the ocean air. I opened the door to the inside and it did not smell good. Very few windows opened the whole home a/c was the split units that where hard to use. The photos of the bedrooms did not match the description. There were blind across the front I tried opening, most did not open. On the call to property manager I was told I was opening them wrong….. I was not! Next day maintenance came out and replaced almost all of them cause they would not open. Garage door broke, paint was peeling or chipped in multiple places. The garage was miserably tight and if two cars had been in there it would have been almost impossible to park. Ohh and the front door jam was busted. Super run down. Did not appreciate having to manage this property.

Pros and Cons

Pros: The location was fantastic for us. We could easily walk for food and the people-watching is unbeatable! And, of course, the beach. The apartment itself was clean and had all the basics. The mattresses and linens are very good. Cons: The garage door keypad didn't work and they never fixed it while we were there. The three heating/AC units also did not work properly. We went back and forth through text and I finally insisted someone come and get the heat turned on. While the person was there, it was not working and she said "the HVAC people don't work on Sunday's, I'll have them come by tomorrow." Um...no, we've already spent one night without heat. I insisted on obtaining space heaters and low and behold, there were already some in the closets. Apparently this has been an issue before. I've stayed at A LOT of VRBO's and the experiences are varied, obviously. This unit is managed by a company that has many properties in the area. There is nothing homey or personal about the space and nothing personal about dealing with them. There was no one in the upstairs unit and I asked if we could use the other side of the garage since it was unoccupied and they said "I refer you to your contract". Also, we asked for a late check-out (2 hours) and they refused saying "due to the potential of needing a quick turnover". There wasn't anyone booked the entire next week. They are just inflexible. Overall it was fine, but I would book through someone else next time.

Poor overall condition

We booked this property for 1 month almost a year in advance because the property was so highly rated. I don't usually write reviews, but want to alert other renters of my experience. On a positive note the location is fantastic and the view gorgeous However the listing is deceptive because the unit does not reflect the phrase “newly remodeled.” I was reminded that the deck, living room decor and fridge are new. Unfortunately the remainder of the rooms were not fit for a long term stay, nor should it be rented in this condition. Issues included: Chipped and peeling paint in every room Cat/dog urine smell in double bedroom Rotting window sills in living room Dirty, scuffed and broken baseboards Dead insect infestation in Master bedroom Rusted out windows in both bathrooms Very small shower that make showering difficult for tall guests Lack of cookware in kitchen Stained outside chair cushions Dangerous lack of lighting in alley to back gate Dirty heaters / AC units The home is really beat up and not maintained. While the management company replied to emails within 24 hours, the problems were far beyond their offers of handy-man/maid service, especially since I was working from home during our stay. I was told any refund would take place after we vacated. After multiple email exchanges (with photos) I gave up. We tried to make the most of an uncomfortable situation. Full disclosure: We were refunded 10% of week 1 stay to compensate for a broken dishwasher!

Heaven on Earth

This place was absolutely perfect for our family trip to wine country. It had absolutely everything we needed and then some. It was so close to Downtown Sonoma with just a few minutes drive, yet was so quiet and peaceful. The house and property was kept up so well. The pool just beautiful and the barn/game room was an added bonus. We got our check in code at the last minute which was stressful but literally the only thing we worried about the entire time. Lovely home for a great family trip. We definitely hope to return again!

Terrible check in and communication, but good location.

This rental has a great location, right next to the beach. However our check in process was terrible. The code for the garage did not work and we had to try the code on the unit itself about 10 times before it would open. Door has to be pulled closed tight for it to unlock. Since we were having trouble getting in we tried to call the property management company as it was during business hours (4:50 PM) but they didn’t answer the phone and it said to call the emergency line. Upon calling the emergency line, I was unable to speak to someone and had to leave a message. They never called us back!!! Luckily we were able to get in but had we been unsuccessful, we would have had to rent a hotel room for the night. We did receive follow up communication from the management company the next day, but I still feel that a call back would have been nice just to make sure everything was ok. As far as the property itself, again location is good but cleanliness is questionable. The trundle bed also had stains on it so the sheets were not clean on that bed. The management company did offer to have housekeeping come out again which was nice but we declined and just did not use that bed. The rest of the beds were clean and the property itself was fairly clean as well. I do not think we would rent this unit again only because of our experience with check in. Starting our a vacation this way was very stressful.

Holiday Beach Get Away

Overall: Loved the location. Right on the beach with the boardwalk out the back door facing the beach. Perfect for active kids that want to beach it or do the skateboard, skate activities. My 11 yr. old granddaughter loved the options . Close to many of the wonderful places San Diego offers like the Zoo, Sea World , the Belmont Amusement Park, so perfect for families. The rental size is comfortable for a family of 4. The Master Bedroom and 2nd bed room are of adequate size except that the 2nd BR has a very strange bed . It is a Queen size with a trundle . My granddaughter was comfortable in the trundle but the actual Queen was beyond short. I am 5’7 ‘ and had to sleep sideways to make sure I had enough room for my feet. It was weird and inconvenient . The property was very clean and well maintained. I was impressed by the way it was kept up. Issues: No heat. We got an e-mail from property management on the day we were arriving that the heater went out and the part, that was needed, was out of stock so they requested the part to be expedited. That was on 12/22. We never heard anything back during our stay about the status of getting this fixed. So we lived off of space heaters to keep us warm. Unfortunately the heaters kept blowing out fuses even though we kept appliances off while we tried to heat up the house. Supplies were , for the most part , adequate except we could only find 2 dish towels. We did feel there was a safety concern with no outside light along the deck pathway from the garage to the front deck. Regardless of these issues we had a great stay and recommend it.

Fantastic View & Accommodations

The view cannot be beat!! I love that the front door has a top and bottom. We could shut the bottom, leave the top open, and enjoy the sound of the waves, without letting the 3 year olds escape. The sand pit in the front allowed for hours of entertainment for the two 3 year olds. It also made it feel much warmer when the wind was blowing or the weather was a little overcast this late in the year. We could sit on the patio and enjoy the ocean as if we were right on the beach. The place is well kept. There are plenty of dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen appliances. The bathrooms were nicely updated. The water pressure and ability to pull down the shower head was fantastic. The AC in the living and each bedroom made it super nice at night to have it be the temp you want it. The beds are firm. Firm isn't my preference but they are high quality and the pull out sofa was a higher end pull out so that was nice. We loved the view from inside the living room. The only suggestion would be an unobstructed view. In the pics it shows drapes that pull across. When we arrived there were blinds that could be turned open and shut but we really wanted an unobstructed view of the ocean, sunset and vibrancy of the boardwalk. There were plenty of sand toys, beach towels and beach chairs. Overall we loved our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone!!

Anniversary at the beach

We loved the property, location. We had a great time! We were disappointed with the construction going on all day Friday and Saturday 2 houses over. There was also some partying going on after 10pm all 3 nights we were there (there's suppose to be a noise ordinance for after 10pm).

Great family spring break week

Property is a little dated, but looks exactly as pictured. Very clean with unbeatable location/views. Comfortable beds and well stocked kitchen. We saw dolphins jumping and gorgeous sunsets nightly.

great views, dated accommodations

The views from this property are outstanding. The outdoor living space is very large compared to others similar properties in the area. The inside is clean and decorated ok. The property itself is old and needs a lot of updating and tlc. The dishwasher is rusted and not attached to the cabinets, falling out when using. The bathrooms have not been updated in the last 20 yrs and the showers are the size of a phone booth (you cannot see that in any of the pictures). The walls and floors allow considerable noise so luckily for us, the family above us moved out on our second day or not sure what we would gave done for sound control. We did notify the property company about a few of the items that need repair but did not want anyone in the unit given covid times. The mgmt company was responsive. Overall, if you prioritize the view and are fine with a holiday inn type inside, this is fine. It worked for us for a week but the inside is just too dated for our tastes. We have rented a number of times (15+) on vrbo and sometimes the pictures overstate the reality and this is true here.

If you were any closer to the ocean you’d be in it!

So much fun watching the people on the boardwalk.. and the bedrooms were so quiet in the back of the house so it was still peaceful stay.
